It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mulki Ramachandra Kamath (M.R. Kamath), a highly respected Chartered Accountant from Mangalore, at the age of 79. He breathed his last this evening after a brief illness. He was a bachelor and resided in Mannagudda
With an illustrious career spanning 55 years, Mr. Kamath was a cornerstone of the Chartered Accountancy profession in Mangalore. A pioneer during the formative years of the ICAI Mangalore branch, he served as an office bearer and played a pivotal role in its growth and success.
Beyond his professional excellence, Mr. Kamath was deeply committed to social service. As a gesture of his altruism, he offered his expertise as an auditor to numerous charitable and religious organizations, refusing to charge fees for his services. His contributions extended to mentoring and training countless aspiring Chartered Accountants, many of whom owe their success to his guidance and dedication.
The Mangalore CA community mourns the loss of this extraordinary individual, whose unwavering commitment, humility, and service have left an indelible mark. The void he leaves behind is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations.
