Step onto the campus during an event like the annual day, and you are immediately swept into a current of positive energy. This is an environment meticulously crafted to ignite curiosity and foster connection. In an age fully dominated and distracted by digital screens, Prestige consciously champions the irreplaceable value of real-world interaction. The school fondly evokes a time “before screens took over,” a time of hide-and-seek and marbles in the dust, ensuring that the simple, endless fun of shared physical play remains a core part of the student experience. This philosophy transforms the school grounds from mere buildings into a dynamic landscape for social and emotional learning, where laughter is as important as any lesson.

This vibrant atmosphere finds its most powerful expression on stage, where “the spotlight” reveals the extraordinary outcomes of a student-centric approach. The performances are not merely acts; they are the culmination of a curriculum that breathes with the world around it.
A Curriculum That Breathes with the World
At Prestige, academic concepts are not confined to textbooks; they are felt, danced, and lived. A science lesson on astronomy transforms into a poetic dialogue between students about the moon’s “calm, glowing, and peaceful” energy, which in turn becomes the inspiration for a breathtaking performance. This is how learning is woven into the very fabric of student life; through dances like “Purnima and Rithyam, the moonlight dance,” where young performers learn to express the profound “harmony between nature, the moon and the soul.” Their movements, tell a story of serenity and devotion, demonstrating how knowledge and art are inseparable companions at Prestige.

Prestige International School stands strong under a leadership team that combines vision, commitment and deep personal involvement. At the centre of this team is Mr. Hyder Ali K, the Chairman, whose guidance shapes the school’s values and direction. His steady leadership has helped create an environment where learning is joyful and meaningful. Supporting this vision is Mrs. Reshma Hyder, the Managing Director, who brings warmth, care and a parent’s insight into the day-to-day experience of every child. Together, they have built a school culture that feels both inspiring and welcoming.
The school’s academic heartbeat is led by Mrs. Feroza Fayaaz, the Principal. She brings clarity, discipline and compassionate leadership to the campus each day. Under her guidance, students learn to blend strong moral values with academic excellence. Her focus on safety, emotional well-being and character formation ensures that every child grows with confidence and dignity. This combined leadership team forms the foundation of Prestige International School and carries forward its mission with unwavering dedication.

This immersive methodology cultivates a truly global perspective. The stage becomes a magic carpet, transporting the audience on a whirlwind tour of cultures. One moment, the stage echoes with the “unstoppable spirit” of an “African safari jungle dance,” filled with vibrant colour and raw energy. The next, it becomes a sacred space to honour the “strength, culture and unity” of India’s tribal communities through a performance that celebrates a way of life lived in beautiful “harmony with nature.” Students even explore the sharp, angular lines of ancient Egyptian art, turning their bodies into a “living geometry” that challenges conventional dance. Each of these performances is a deep, empathetic dive into the “diverse culture, tradition and communities” of our world, teaching students that to understand another’s rhythm is to understand their heart.
Aurora 2025 was blessed with the presence of an inspiring group of dignitaries whose achievements span public service, education, health care, entrepreneurship and the arts. The event welcomed Mr. D Vedavyas Kamath, MLA of Mangalore City South, whose commitment to community development added great honour to the occasion. Ms. Najma Farooq, Assistant Commissioner of Police, brought strength and grace through her dedicated service to society. The school also welcomed Dr. Sajan Mathew, Dean of Alliance University, Bangalore, whose academic leadership represents the value of higher education. The stage shone with the presence of Mr. Prakash Thuminad, actor, comedian and writer, who continues to inspire audiences with his creativity. The gathering was enriched by Mr. Dilsha, founder and CEO of Kevabox, Director Operations City Golds, a respected name in the world of business.

The ceremony also honoured leaders who serve with compassion and vision. Dr. Haseeb Aman, Hon. Medical Officer at Wenlock Hospital, symbolised dedication to health and public welfare. Ms. Veena Mangala, Works Committee Chairman of Mangalore, brought the experience of community leadership. Dr. Ruksana Hassan, psychologist and Managing Director of Global Gyaan Academy, represented the importance of emotional well being and educational progress. Dr. A K Jamal, Chairman of United Medicals, added the strength of medical entrepreneurship. Mr. N Ma Siddiq, owner of MFC Hotels, and Mr. Azmath Ali, Chairman of City Builders, stood as examples of vision and commitment in the business world. Their presence encouraged every student and added pride to the celebration.
The Unseen Framework: Collective Parenting in Action
Behind every confident step on that stage, behind every “spark of creativity,” lies the school’s most transformative element: its teachers. At Prestige, educators are instructors; far more consistent and nurturing with their elegant presence. They are the ones at the backstage, offering quiet encouragement before a performance, or explaining a complex concept with unwavering patience. They provide the guidance and belief that empowers every child to flourish.
This is the power of collective parenting in action. The teachers function as a unified network of trusted adults, a team where each member contributes their unique strength to the growth of the whole child. This is not a replacement for the family, but a vital and powerful extension of it; a collaborative support system that provides a diversity of care and consistency, countering the isolation that can sometimes accompany modern life. It is a practical, daily commitment to ensuring no student ever feels they are walking their path alone.

This deeply supportive framework is the true engine of the campus’s vibrant energy. When students feel profoundly known, valued, and guided by an entire community, it builds an unshakeable foundation of security. It is this security that gives them the courage to step into the spotlight, to dance with joy filled heart. The brilliance we witness during the annual ceremony was simply the visible bloom from this carefully tended garden. Prestige International School and College operate on a singular, powerful belief: that our children are the greatest wealth of our nation, and their potential is limitless. The school’s mission is to create an environment that nourishes ambition and nurtures courage, actively reminding everyone that “courage is… in every dream.” Here, students are the “shining stars,” the architects of their own destinies. When the students take their place, the whole world dances with them. We felt something further. Take some of their dance performances and enhance them with AI to get an aged version of them; you will invariably get sequences of professional Dance Performances in Film Festivals. Test it and let us know that we are right to the core.

A Personal Reflection on Prestige International School’s Annual Day
By N V Paulose, Chairman, Global TV +91 98441 82044
When I walked into the Annual Day celebrations at Prestige International School this year, I felt something simple yet meaningful. It was not just about the performances, nor about the lights or applause. It was about watching a community of young people come together with sincerity, effort and a quiet sense of pride. Many schools in Mangalore follow this approach, where Annual Day is both a celebration and a moment for students to discover what they are capable of. Prestige carried that spirit well.
As I watched the students perform, I noticed their commitment more than anything else. They stood together, supported each other and carried the programme forward with confidence. There was joy in the audience, but more importantly, there was a sense of belonging on stage. These are the small, steady moments in which students learn teamwork, patience and the ability to express themselves in front of others. They may not realise it now, but these experiences stay with them for life.
Mangalore itself is growing as a significant education hub in the coastal region. The city brings together the advantages of a global outlook, linguistic diversity and a culture that welcomes learning with openness. Students here grow up listening to multiple languages, engaging with people from different backgrounds and experiencing a blend of traditional values and modern perspectives. This gives them a natural foundation to understand the world beyond their classrooms. Schools like Prestige International School become part of this wider educational landscape, contributing to a future where young people from Mangalore can participate confidently on national and international platforms.
What impressed me most during the event was the way the whole school stood behind the children. Teachers guiding from the sidelines, parents watching with hope and students giving their best. It reminded me that education is never only about textbooks. It is about participation, shared effort and learning to work with others. Many schools in Mangalore nurture these same values and it is encouraging to see Prestige contributing to this collective culture.
At the same time, events like this offer room for growth. In the coming years, the school could involve students more deeply in planning, designing and leading different parts of the programme. When students shape the process, the learning becomes richer and more meaningful. Several schools in the region have already begun doing this and it has brought strong results.
The Annual Day at Prestige International School left me with a sense of quiet appreciation. It reflected a school community that is willing to grow, reflect and move forward together. I congratulate the students, teachers and parents for creating a space where young people can step forward with confidence and joy. It was a pleasure to witness this journey and I look forward to seeing how the school continues to evolve in the years ahead.
