The colloquium will be graced by eminent legal luminaries and academic leaders. The inauguration ceremony on October 25th will feature a keynote address by Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and the current Chairperson of the 23rd Law Commission of India. His insights are expected to set a profound tone for the discussions to follow.

Prof (Dr.) M. K. Bhandari, Founder Director of GALTER, will be the Chief Guest for the inauguration. The session will be presided over by Dr. Tharanatha, Principal of SDM Law College.

The valedictory ceremony on the same day will honour Prof (Dr.) Sandeep Sancheti, Vice President of Research Relations and Academic Affairs at Elsevier India and Chairperson of CIPU National Committee on R&D, as the Guest of Honour. Prof (Dr.) M. K. Bhandari will again be present as Chief Guest, with Dr. Tharanatha presiding.

A Confluence of Experts and Diverse Sessions

The colloquium schedule is packed with insightful sessions from renowned experts across various fields:

Day 1 (October 25) will begin with a formal program followed by technical sessions. Dr. Josina Rodrigues, a renowned Blockchain Advisor and the first holder of a Blockchain Ph.D. in Portugal, will lead the first session. She will be followed by Dr. Nanda Kishor M S from Pondicherry University, who will provide perspectives from Political Science and International Studies.

The post-lunch session will feature Prof. Dr. Sairam Bhat from the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore. The day will also include paper presentations by researchers, providing a platform for sharing new scholarship, and conclude with the valedictory function.

Day 2 (October 26) will continue with sessions from Dr. Rajendra Baikady (Central University of Kerala) on social work perspectives, Prof. Dr. M. K. Bhandari from GALTER, and Prof. Dr. Bharti, Dean of Law at Manipal University, Jaipur.

A highlight of the second day will be a panel discussion featuring a diverse group of experts, including Prof. Dr. Yugal Kishore (Former Vice Chancellor, NALSAR), Prof. Firdous Wani (University of Kashmir), and Prof. Shashi Kant Gupta (Lincoln University College, Malaysia), among others. This discussion is anticipated to yield a multi-faceted dialogue on the intersection of technology and law.

The event will be held in a hybrid mode, allowing for both physical attendance at the Moot Court Hall of SDM Law College and virtual participation, ensuring wide accessibility.

This international colloquium represents a critical step towards modernizing legal education and research, emphasizing the indispensable role of technology in understanding and addressing complex socio-legal issues in the 21st century.
