Education is the factor that influence ones future. Environment and Experience comes very far when compared with Education to create future for anyone. It is not the IQ that differentiate between successful people and others. Emotional Intelligence has a role to play. How you behave matter a lot. Dr. Vijayakumar, Vice Chancellor of Yenepoya University spoke thus. He was inaugurating the event honoring the legend. The idea of education is not to be above others in mark.
When we are able to congratulate the winner after you loosing the game, we have gained the meaning of life. Total education and overall education is very important. It is not just about marks.
Becoming a bookworm will never help you to succeed in your life. Education is the solution for all problems in the world. But education today is not able to do what it supposed to do. Development is not in syllabus education. It is about overall development. Self development or selfless development, we should come out from the level of I and me. We should go beyond. It is not just about safety and security.
We are yearning to live, but we are not living. Everyone thinking, he or she is immortal is most surprising thing, then and even today. When we get to this level, we are truly evolved. Everything will become alright when we develop at this base level of education.
We have to divert our focus on education over to impactful areas than today’s mode of education. Emotional Intelligence is self acquired. We are always into self led education. This was the way all times. A formal education will take you to some level. It is the informal education that take you to the next levels.
Employability is an issue with education in hand. You have to prepare yourself beyond education to reach out to the industry. New education policy is student friendly. Inter disciplinary and multi disciplinary are getting important. This is a good sign.
Artificial Intelligence is also come from Human Intelligence.

We should give back to the world more than what we take from it was Dr. Olinda Pereira’s approach to life. We used to pronounce her name like All India Pereira initially. It was in a way right. She had a greater outlook.

Dr.Olinda Pereira walked her talk. She was the world to us. Social transformation through inclusive society. Social Transformation is important. Inclusive Society is also very important.
The country should be able to give equal respect for all it’s citizens. Including all citizens in the decision making process is very important.
We are manipulating the history of our country today. Dignity and Equity are very important. Hero worship is very dangerous.
Political Democracy should turn to become Social Democracy. Justice, Quality and Diversity are very important.
We are conveniently ignoring our responsibilities of providing justice to every citizens of our nation. It is our collective responsibility.
Dr. Olinda Pereira had followed this very much and very appropriate.

Education, Development, Transformation, Inclusiveness were combined in the life of Dr. Olinda Pereira. She made time to spend her life with the less privileged in her unique ways. Her thought about the senior citizens were on the divine light that she had within her. Dr. Olinda was not merely a teacher. She could touch, inspire and motivate her students. She always lived for others.
We should continue our work in our own unique ways following the footsteps of Dr. Olinda Pereira. She was always looking at everyone with equality and respect. Let us forget our individual differences and come out together to make a difference in the life of those who are finding to make a life for them. Let us work for the less privileged.
