Mangaluru, 10 November 2025: The Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) have announced a month filled with landmark events this November, combining international academic exchange, a decade of quality accreditation, and large-scale community health initiatives. Together, these efforts embody the institution’s continuing journey “From Legacy to Excellence.”

At a press meet held today, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director of FMCI, shared details of these upcoming initiatives. In his address, he emphasized that Father Muller Institutions continue to advance medical education and healthcare service while ensuring that their benefits reach every segment of society; from global experts to children in the community. His message set the tone for a month that reflects the depth of commitment, compassion, and excellence that the Muller name stands for.
1. EXPLORA 2025: A Global Conference on Homoeopathy
The Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC), in collaboration with the Global Homoeopathy Foundation (GHF) and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), will host EXPLORA 2025, an international conference from November 14 to 16 at the Father Muller Convention Centre.

The conference, themed “Bridging Homoeopathic Education, Practice, and Research,” will be inaugurated by Mrs. Kamala Bai B, KAS. The Guests of Honour will include Dr. Ashley Ross from South Africa and Dr. Kim Antony Jobst from the United Kingdom.
More than thirty experts from India and abroad will share their insights on the evolving landscape of Homoeopathy. The event will also mark several firsts; including the first-ever OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) in Homoeopathy in India, a research competition, and the launch of the KRANIUM Hospital Information Management System.
2. EXPLORA FIESTA 2025: A Celebration for the City
Running alongside the conference, the Explora Fiesta 2025 will take place from November 14 to 16 at the Father Muller Grounds. Open to the public, the fiesta will be inaugurated by world record holders and will feature over sixty stalls showcasing food, fashion, lifestyle, and wellness.

With a total prize pool of ₹1.5 lakh across various competitions and live entertainment throughout the three days, the event promises to be a vibrant celebration for the people of Mangaluru. Entry will be free for all visitors, reaffirming the institution’s spirit of inclusivity and community engagement.
3. A Decade of Quality: NABH Accreditation and World Quality Week
The Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) marks a significant milestone this November; ten years of NABH accreditation, underscoring its enduring commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and clinical excellence.

The celebration, themed “From Legacy to Excellence,” will take place on November 14 at 3:00 PM in the Decennial Memorial Hall. The hospital holds two major national accreditations:
NABH Hospital Accreditation (4th Cycle) valid from August 3, 2025, to August 2, 2029
NABH Digital Health Standards – Gold Standard valid from August 29, 2025, to August 28, 2029
This achievement coincides with World Quality Week (November 10–14), celebrated under the global theme “Quality: Think Differently.” A series of workshops and competitions will be conducted to highlight the message that “Quality is everyone’s responsibility.”
4. Focus on Children’s Health and Development
Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo also emphasized that the health and happiness of children are central to the institution’s mission. He pointed out that early detection and timely correction of developmental issues are vital parts of healthcare, and special programs are being organized this month with that goal in mind.
Children’s Day Celebrations will be held at St. Joseph’s School, Bajal, on November 13, and at the Hospital Conference Hall on November 15 for patients and staff children. The events will include games, competitions, and a magic show designed to bring joy and awareness together.

A major initiative, the Baandavya Child Development Centre (CDC), inaugurated in August 2025, has already provided comprehensive care for over 300 children. The Centre offers multidisciplinary support for children dealing with autism, ADHD, mobile addiction, school bullying, and stress, while also guiding families through professional counseling.
A workshop for school teachers is scheduled for December 10, 2025, to help them identify and support children with developmental needs at an early stage. Through outreach efforts, Baandavya has already reached 21,000 students across 60 schools, spreading awareness about early screening and intervention.
5. World Diabetes Day: “Know More and Do More at Work”
In observance of World Diabetes Day, the Department of Community Medicine is leading a ten-day campaign from November 5 to 15 under the global theme “Diabetes and Well-being in the Workplace.”
Activities include a Steps for Awareness Challenge with more than 400 participants, the blue lighting of the campus, free health screenings, and interactive sessions on creating diabetes-friendly diets. The initiative aims to empower working individuals to take proactive steps towards better health.
