IMA NATCON 2024: A Premier Medical Conference Set to Kick Off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, December 25, 2024: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is gearing up to host its flagship event, IMA NATCON 2024, in Hyderabad from December 27-28, 2024. This prestigious medical conference promises to bring together renowned medical experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the healthcare sector.

The two-day conference will be held at the Centenary Convention Centre, Engineering Staff College of India, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. With a tentative scientific program in place, the event is expected to be a melting pot of ideas and innovations.

Tentative Scientific Programme – Day 1

The conference will kick off on December 27, 2024, with a series of sessions and orations. Some of the highlights of the day include:

The day will also feature several orations, including the IMA Professor Dr. Sridhar Sharma Oration Award on the topic “Quit Tobacco-Why & How?” by Dr. Rajib Paul, Consultant Physician & Intensivist, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.

Other notable orations include the Dr. P. S. Reddy Memorial Oration on “Recent Advances in Management of BPH” by Dr. Prakash Lalchandani, Hony. It Secretary, IMA Hors, New Delhi, and the Dr. Arastu Yar Jung Memorial Oration on “The Science of Millets” by Dr. Agam Chandravadan Vora, Senior Chest Physician, Mumbai.

Panel Discussions and Workshops

The conference will also feature panel discussions and workshops on various topics, including “Combating AMR-Leveraging Susceptibility Trends in RTI Management – Indian RWE Study” and “Consent and Documentation.”

The Smt. Kumud Ben Naik Memorial Oration on “Renal Denervation for Resistant Hypertension” will be delivered by Dr. Deepak, Senior Radiologist, Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Hyderabad.

Leadership Development and MSN Sessions

The conference will also focus on leadership development for young doctors, with a session on “Leadership Development for Young Doctors” by Dr. Ruchika Garg.

The MSN (Medical Students’ Network) session will discuss “MSN-Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow,” moderated by Dr. K. R. Meghanath, ENT Surgeon.

Awards and Recognition

The IMA National Award ceremony will take place on December 27, 2024, from 4:00 PM onwards at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana. Notable awardees include Dr. Srinivas Ramaka, who will receive the IMA Dr. K. Sharan Cardiology Excellence Award.
