Key note speaker | Vathika Pai

Vathika Pai was the key note speaker. She spoke in alignment with the Chief guest address. Both the Chief guest and the key note speaker together could give a clear cut road map for exponential tourism development in India in general. Both of them spoke well on importance of involving local communities in tourism and about the need of preserving nature.

Both speakers were stuck by what is called the Dollar Syndrome. They presented statistics in Dollar instead of presenting them in Indian Rupees. It is very difficult to educating anyone about the Dollar Syndrome. But it is easy for us to learn it on our own. Whole world is suffering from Dollar syndrome today. The war of Russia in Ukraine is all about establishing role of their currency in petrol trade. India is now giving importance in trading in Rupee.

We need to resolve the stink and stigma associated with the career opportunities in fisheries segment: said Dr. Preethy Keerthi D’Souza while thrilling the audience with her stunning presentation.

Her talk was specific, focused and very clear about the road map of tourism progress in the region. She is more updated and knowledgeable than the tourism Directors and Ministers in the States and elsewhere. She had presented practi cal insight
