NIPM Hosts 40th National Conference in Mangaluru
The National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) hosts its 40th National Conference on September 28, 2024, at the Dr. TMA Pai International Convention Centre in Mangaluru. The event, themed “India@2047: Human Capital for a Developed India,” aims to spark dialogue on the critical role of human capital in driving India’s development over the next two decades.

As India approaches its centenary of independence in 2047, the conference highlights the importance of building and optimizing human capital to meet the nation’s growth aspirations. Key topics, including workforce development, innovation, and the future of work, take center stage, emphasizing a sustainable and inclusive development strategy for the country.
Inauguration and Participation of Key Leaders
The inaugural ceremony features prominent figures from both government and industry. Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Steel, Shri. H. D. Kumaraswamy, addresses the gathering, discussing the government’s vision for India’s industrial future. Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri. S. Abdul Nazeer, adds insights on governance’s role in developing a skilled workforce. Shri. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, contributes his thoughts on the private sector’s responsibility in human capital development and economic progress.
Captain Brijesh Chowta, MP for the Dakshina Kannada Constituency, speaks on regional and local initiatives related to education and skills training. Shri. M. Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), brings the industry perspective to the discussions.
