At the heart of this journey stands Ruby Ahluwalia, our founder—herself a cancer victor—whose personal battle transformed pain into purpose.
Ruby’s lived experience of cancer was not an ending; it became a beginning.
From that crucible emerged a simple yet powerful belief: when love deepens into compassion, it becomes a revolution.
Sanjeevani is that revolution—quiet, consistent, and transformative.
Founded in 2012, Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer was conceived not in boardrooms but in hospital corridors, counselling rooms, and moments of raw vulnerability where patients and families grappled with fear, uncertainty, and loss of dignity.
Ruby’s journey revealed a critical truth: while clinical treatment fights the disease, patients also need emotional strength, psychosocial care, nutritional guidance, livelihood support, and a renewed sense of meaning.
Sanjeevani was created to address this unmet need—to walk with people before, during, and after cancer.
Over the last thirteen years, this vision has grown into a national movement, reaching over 13.5 lakh individuals across 16 states, with teams embedded in more than 33 super-specialty hospitals.
Each number represents a life touched, a family supported, and hope restored.
