Global Biofuel Alliance (GBA) – One more Step towards road to net zero.
India has taken leadership steps in green energy through the launch of the Global Biofuels Alliance at G20 Presidency meeting at Delhi, with member countries like India, US, Brazil, Argentina, Bangladesh, Italy, Mauritius, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. Canada and Singapore are observer countries.
What are Green fuels:
Biofuels are green fuels made from organic waste materials like agriculture waste, animal waste, Food waste etc. They are used to produce energy and can reduce our dependency on traditional fossil fuels. Examples of Biofuels could be Bioethanol, biodiesel, biogas and bio-CNG. Biofuels play a significant role in decarbonization transport sector in particular.
