The Department of Advanced Computing at St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, hosted the Investiture Ceremony of its student associations | Global TV

The ceremony was a formal yet spirited occasion dedicated to inducting the newly appointed office bearers and celebrating their upcoming journey as leaders of student-driven academic initiatives.

The event began with the welcoming of dignitaries, followed by a prayer song rendered by the university choir. A graceful welcome dance by the students set a celebratory tone, expressing cultural vibrancy and warmth. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp by dignitaries served as a symbolic gesture of wisdom, enlightenment, and the beginning of a new academic term.
Dr. Jayati Bhadra, head of the department [Advanced computing] delivered the welcome speech, formally addressing the attendees and setting the context for the day’s proceedings. The Chief Guest was felicitated, and an insightful introduction was presented by Mr. Aaran Lawrence D’Lima.

The highlight of the event was the Chief Guest address by Dr. Vishnu Vinekar, who spoke eloquently about the importance of data analysis in solving real-life problems. He emphasized the need for future leaders to harness data analytics as a global tool for innovation and progress, urging students to approach the field with curiosity and responsibility.

The program continued with a presidential address by Fr. Denzil, Director of SIT, who reiterated the critical role that data analytics plays in the modern world. The Pro Vice Chancellor also addressed the students, instilling in them a sense of duty and academic responsibility.
One of the most anticipated moments was the oath-taking ceremony, where the newly elected office bearers pledged to fulfill their roles with commitment, discipline, and dedication. This was followed by the badge administration, formally recognizing the students in their new leadership capacities.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ashwin, chairperson of Sigma Squared, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers. The event officially closed with final remarks from the Master of Ceremonies.
