Bridging the Gap, Saving Lives
With India facing a massive shortfall of organs for transplantation, leading to long waiting lists and preventable loss of lives, awareness and family consent remain the biggest hurdles. This program aims to demystify organ donation, address misconceptions, and inspire citizens to pledge as donors, turning tragedy into hope for others.
“An organ donor can save up to eight lives and enhance over 75 others. This is perhaps the most profound legacy one can leave,” remarked a spokesperson for the organizing committee. “Having this dialogue at LOK BHAVAN, a symbol of public service, sends a powerful message that this is a national priority requiring collective will.”
