Gracy Peter (99), beloved wife of the late Kocheril K.E. Peter and mother of famous cartoonist Raju Nair, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, humility, and quiet strength.
A cherished member of the Thombra family of Perumbavoor, Gracy Peter was known to all who met her as a woman of gentle spirit and warm presence. Her life was a reflection of simplicity and grace; values she carried with dignity through nearly a century of living. She was deeply rooted in faith, family, and compassion, touching lives through consistent kindness and sincerity.
To her children; Elsy, Babu, Raju, and Agnes, she was more a guiding light, a source of unwavering support, and a living example of patience and love. Her nurturing presence shaped not only their lives but also the lives of those around them. Among them, her son Raju Nair, widely recognized cartoonist with Deepika and a mentor to Global TV, often reflected the values of human sensitivity that she embodied.

Those who knew the great Gracy Peter remember her as a pleasant and approachable person, always ready with a kind word and a welcoming smile. She lived a life free from pretension, finding joy in the simple things and strength in her faith. Her humility and warmth made her a beloved figure in her community and extended family.

Even in her later years, she remained a symbol of grace and dignity. Her life stands as a reminder that true greatness lies in the love we give and the lives we touch. Her funeral will be held at St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s Malankara Catholic Church, Thammanimattom, where family, friends, and well-wishers will gather to pay their final respects. As we remember Gracy Peter, we celebrate a life well lived; a life that leaves behind lasting memories of kindness, simplicity, and grace. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
