MCC Bank Expands Footprint with New Branches at Deralakatte and Katapadi

Mangaluru, June 2026: Marking an extraordinary milestone of 114 years of dedicated banking service, MCC Bank Ltd., one of Karnataka’s leading cooperative banks, has announced the inauguration of two new branches in coastal Karnataka, further strengthening its commitment to financial inclusion and community development.

The bank will inaugurate its 22nd branch at Deralakatte, Mangaluru, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, followed by the opening of its 23rd branch at Katapadi, Udupi district, on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Deralakatte Branch and ATM to Open on June 28

The new Deralakatte Branch and ATM will be inaugurated at Father Muller Complex, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, at 11:00 a.m. on June 28.

The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd. and recipient of the ‘Sahakara Ratna’ award.

The branch will be formally inaugurated by Mr U.T. Khader, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.

The event will also be graced by the blessings of Rev. Fr Victor D’Mello, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Paneer, and Rev. Sr Milly Fernandes, Superior General of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation.

Several distinguished personalities have been invited as Guests of Honour, including:

  • Rev. Fr Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Deralakatte;
  • Mrs Divya Satish Shetty, President, Kotekar Town Panchayat; and
  • Mr C.M. Sattar, Former President, Belma Gram Panchayat.

The new branch is expected to provide convenient banking facilities to residents, educational institutions, healthcare establishments and businesses in the rapidly developing Deralakatte region.

Katapadi Branch to Commence Operations on August 2

Continuing its expansion journey, MCC Bank will inaugurate its 23rd branch at Katapadi on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Global Residency, Old Post Office Road, Moodabettu, Katapadi-574105, at 11:00 a.m.

The function will once again be presided over by Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd.

The branch will be inaugurated by Mr Gurme Suresh Shetty, MLA of Kaup Constituency, while the ceremony will receive blessings from Rev. Fr Rajesh Prasanna, Parish Priest of St Vincent De Paul Church, Katapadi.

The Chief Guest for the event will be Mr M.A. Gafoor, Chairman of the Coastal Development Authority.

Guests of Honour include:

  • Rev. Fr Akshay D. Ammanna, Presbyter, CSI Christ Church, Katapadi;
  • Mr Prashanth Jathanna, Director, Karnataka Christian Co-operative Development Corporation (KCCDC);
