Mangaluru, July 7: To commemorate International MSME Day 2026, the D.K. District Economic Cell, BJP, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of SDM College of Business Management PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, organized a seminar on “MSME & Banking Eco System: Empowering Indian Economy” to commemorate International MSME Day 2026 at the SDM PG Centre Conference Hall, Mangaluru. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Sathish Kumpala, President, BJP D.K. District, in the presence of CA Shantharam Shetty, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society D.K., as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Sumathi, Asst Professor & IQAC Coordinator, SDM PG Centre Presided over the function.
Delivering the keynote address, CA S. S. Nayak, MSME & Start-up Mentor and Convener, BJP Economic Cell, D.K. District, highlighted the crucial role of MSMEs in India’s economic growth and explained the importance of banking support, digital finance, government schemes, and entrepreneurship in strengthening the sector. The seminar witnessed active participation from MBA students, faculty members, entrepreneurs, and professionals, making it an informative and inspiring event. Er. G. Yogish Pai, Co-Convener, Mr Raghunath Pai, Member , Mr Sundar Shetty, Member, BJP Economic Cell, D.K. District were also present. Mr Sanjay Prabhu, Treasurer , BJP, DK District, Shri KS Balachandra Rao , Former GM Canara Bank, Dr Ramesh Pai & many more entrepreneurs were also present. CA S S Nayak made detiled presentation of MSME & Start Up Schemes, entrepreneural opportunities & funding options from Banks . He emphasised on PM Modi’s Vision “ Be Job provider, Not Job Seeker”. The program ended with Vande Mataram & Janaganamana.
