CPR education in Indian languages
Community CPR pamphlets, including a Sanskrit version, were released. Educational videos on community CPR were released in Telugu, English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi and Kashmiri. The goal was to make essential CPR knowledge more accessible to people across linguistic communities and to encourage wider public participation in responding to cardiac emergencies.
Faculty and students of NIT Warangal and staff of Laerdal India supported the recording of the multilingual CPR videos. The coordinated presentation of these resources at one event was a key feature of the programme. World Heart Day 2026 in Warangal brought together healthcare organisations, educational institutions, community groups and volunteers around a shared public-health objective: improving community preparedness for cardiac emergencies. By pairing practical CPR training with multilingual educational resources, Srinivasa Heart Foundation and its partners sought to widen access to life-saving knowledge and promote a culture of bystander action.
