Dr. T. P. Sasikumar is called DrTPS by his students and friends. He was born in 1964 in a small village called Naduvil in Kannur, Kerala. As a child, he struggled in school. He was once asked to leave a special school in eighth standard. He passed his secondary school in second class. It was only in college that he began to value education. Step by step, he changed his life. He went on to earn many degrees. He completed M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., LLB, MBA, and MS.

He believes that life must be like a river that flows and a tree that grows. A river moves forward. A tree grows steadily. Both face challenges and adapt. This is also his philosophy for life. Every new day is a chance to rise again.

A Scientist and Teacher

In 1989, DrTPS became a space scientist in India’s space program. He worked there for twenty years. Later, he served as Director of the UGC Academic Staff College at Calicut University in Kerala. He also worked as Deputy Director in the Directorate General of Security under the Cabinet Secretariat in New Delhi.

He could have stayed in high government positions. But in 2009, he chose voluntary retirement. He wanted to give his time to education and mentorship. He began to teach not only in classrooms but in all spaces where learning could happen.

He was a Professor of Management at JNTU in Hyderabad. He worked as Executive Director at an engineering college under Kannur University. He became a consultant for educational projects with Sobha Developers.

SHIKSHA

DrTPS created SHIKSHA to guide Teachers, Parents, and Students. He calls them TPS. SHIKSHA is not just about subjects and marks. It is about life. It teaches three responsibilities. First is family, which he calls Pitru Runam. Second is society and environment, called Deva Runam. Third is knowledge preservation, called Acharya Runam.

SHIKSHA uses learning with entertainment. DrTPS calls this edutainment. There are discussions and activities. These help people think deeply about life. Teachers learn to guide with compassion. Parents learn to support with understanding. Students learn to live with purpose.

Grandma Child Care SHIKSHA Gurukulam

DrTPS started another program called Grandma Child Care SHIKSHA Gurukulam. It connects the love of grandparents with the energy of children. Elders share stories and wisdom. Children learn values while feeling cared for. It is a home-like place where education grows naturally.

Camps and Personal Mentorship

DrTPS does not limit teaching to schools. He runs camps at his 200-year-old ancestral home called JNAANAM in Naduvil. These are called life unconferencing camps. There are no formal lectures. Learning happens through interaction and sharing.

In recent years, more than twenty camps were held here. About 600 participants attended. They came from different parts of India and from the Gulf countries. They were of all ages. Some were small children. Some were college students. Some were working professionals.

He has trained more than five lakh teachers. He has inspired about nine lakh students. He listens to each person and offers personal advice. Many say that even a short talk with DrTPS changes their thinking.

A Writer with a Simple Style

DrTPS writes in a way that is easy to read. His style is simple and clear. He asks readers to look inside themselves. His words can touch the mind of a young student in love. They can also guide a spiritual seeker on the path of awareness. He mixes science and poetry. He respects feelings but also keeps a practical view.

Some of his books are LIFE made SIMPLE, LIFE of LOVE, LIFE is to LIVE, LIFE Reflections, Makers of India, and Civil Service Prelims Handbook. They talk about solving life’s struggles. They motivate and guide. They are useful for people of all ages.

He also writes on more than sixty blogs. Here he shares stories, reflections, and lessons. He answers questions from readers around the world.

A Global Mentor

DrTPS has shared his knowledge in many countries. In 2018 and 2019, he was a residential guru at Sri Ganesh Mandir in Columbus, Indiana, USA. He was also a chaplain at the Hindu Society of Southern Indiana.

When the pandemic began, he moved to online teaching. He created a platform called Shiksha SCF E TUBE. He conducted more than sixty webinars. These reached people in many countries.

A Life of Service

DrTPS lives a life of service. He is a teacher, scientist, mentor, and spiritual guide. He is also a counselor, author, and cultural ambassador. His work connects science and spirituality. He blends ancient wisdom with modern needs. He uses art and culture as tools for learning.

He believes in living with purpose. He says dreams can change over time. As a child, he dreamed of teaching the son of a rich man. Later, he wanted to be a mathematics professor. Then he wished to head an ISRO unit. Finally, he decided to work for creating good administrators for India. He accepts that life’s journey will open new doors.

Flow and Growth

DrTPS says that people should live like a river and a tree. A river moves around obstacles. It does not stop. A tree grows slowly but steadily. It gives shade and shelter. It holds strong even in storms.

He says that struggles are natural. They make us stronger. They prepare us for the next sunrise.

The story of Dr. T. P. Sasikumar is the story of transformation. It is proof that a struggling student can become a guiding light for millions. It is the journey of a scientist who became a teacher for the whole world. It is the journey of a thinker who blends reason with compassion.

Through SHIKSHA and other programs, he has changed how people think about learning. He has shown that education is not just about books. It is about life. It is about family, society, and the wisdom of teachers.

In every camp, every class, every book, and every conversation, DrTPS plants seeds of awareness. These seeds grow into confident, thoughtful, and responsible individuals. On a global stage, his life is a message. The message is simple. Keep flowing like a river. Keep growing like a tree. Never stop learning. Never stop giving.
