ATIL–2025 Inaugurated at University College, Mangaluru: Aravind Bolar Highlights the Link Between Food, Health and Education
Mangaluru, Nov. 5:
“Quality education can be achieved even through initiatives like ATIL,” said Tulu film actor and cultural icon Aravind Bolar, inaugurating the ATIL–2025 programme held at the University College, Mangaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that good health begins with good food habits. “It is not enough to just eat food; one must also understand how it is prepared and the benefits of each ingredient. Only then can we ensure proper care of every family member. Loving care is the need of the hour,” he added.
Bolar noted that food festivals give students valuable practical experience. “Through experience and knowledge, one can face any difficult situation with confidence. Experience is the key to success in life. Hence, students should learn patiently and gain experience from every opportunity,” he advised.
Presiding over the function, Principal Prof. Ganapathi Gowda said that students must begin to take care of their health at an early age. He remarked that ATIL provides a platform for developing such awareness. “In today’s world, with many food options available, traditional and basic foods are disappearing. We must pay more attention to preserving them,” he cautioned.
As part of the World Tourism Day celebration, prizes were distributed to the winners of a quiz competition organized by the Department of Tourism.
Prof. Jagadeesh, Head of the Department of Tourism, Prof. Jayavanth Nayak from the Department of Economics, Dr. Parinitha Shetty, Dr. Sreeraj, and Bharath Kumar were among the faculty members present on the occasion.
