A New Chapter in Collective Leadership for DK Journalists
The Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association has elected a new team of office bearers to lead its activities for the coming term. In the elections held recently, Pushparaj B N of Vartha Bharati Kannada Daily was elected as the Presi dent, marking a new phase of leadership for the district’s journalists.
The newly elected team includes Srinivasa Nayak as State Executive Committee Member, Rajesh Poojari as General Secretary, and Vijay Kotyan as Treasurer.Three Vice Presidents namely Muhammad Arif,Wilfred D Souza and Rajesh Shetty, and three Secretaries namely Satish Ira, Siddeek Neeraje, and Suresh Palli, will assist in the administration and coordination of the association’s activities.
The election process was conducted in a transparent and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the unity and professionalism among media personnel in Dakshina Kannada. Members expressed their confidence that the new committee will work together to uphold journalistic ethics, protect media freedom, and promote the welfare of working journalists in the region.
The association now looks forward to a renewed phase of engagement, collaboration, and service under the leadership of Pushparaj B N, continuing its mission to strengthen responsible journalism and the voice of the media in coastal Karnataka.
