Ahmedabad and Tumkur, November 2025 – Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation and GYAN, continues to lead India’s organ donation awareness movement with two significant engagements this week. He addressed CISF personnel at Ahmedabad Airport and appealed to the Karnataka Home Minister to advance xenotransplantation research in Tumkur.
Inspiring CISF Personnel at Ahmedabad Airport
On November 22, 2025, Rotarian Lal Goel delivered an inspiring and deeply moving session on the life transforming power of organ donation to CISF personnel at Ahmedabad Airport.
In his address, he shared a compelling message that deeply resonated with everyone present:
“We are not God, but God has given us the power to save up to nine lives and improve up to seventy five lives.”

He emphasised that organ donation is the highest form of human service, one that allows an individual to continue giving life even after they are gone.
CISF Commandant C. L. Verma praised Rotarian Goel for his dedication to this noble cause and expressed confidence that the session would motivate personnel to consider pledging their organs after meaningful discussions with their families. As a gesture of gratitude, Commandant Verma presented Rotarian Goel with a CISF memento.

Rotarian Goel extended heartfelt thanks to Mr Apoorv Pandey, DIG and CASO, for organising the programme at short notice, and to all CISF officers and personnel for their enthusiastic participation.
Advocating Xenotransplantation Research in Karnataka
Just days earlier, on November 19, 2025, Rotarian Lal Goel addressed a distinguished gathering at Sri Siddhartha Medical College in Tumkur during the National Conference for Medical Undergraduates and Postgraduates.
Responding to the announcement by Dr G. Parameshwara, Honorable Home Minister of Karnataka and Chancellor of SSAHE, that the institution will begin advanced medical research this year, Rotarian Goel urged the government to include research in xenotransplantation, the transplantation of organs from animals to humans, as a promising long term solution to India’s serious organ shortage.

Welcoming Dr Parameshwara’s focus on medical research across Karnataka, he stressed that xenotransplantation could eventually help bridge the vast gap between organ demand and availability. He encouraged students, faculty members, and researchers to intensify their involvement in organ donation advocacy and transplantation science so that countless lives can be saved.
During the conference, Rotarian Goel was felicitated for his outstanding contributions to organ donation awareness. He also extended special thanks to Dr Rajeshwari Devi, Administrative Medical Superintendent, for inviting him as the Keynote Speaker.

The event was attended by eminent dignitaries including Dr G S Anand, Trustee, Dr K B Lingegowda, Vice Chancellor, Dr M B Sanikop, Principal, Dr Savitha Rani B B, Organising Secretary, Dr Bhoomika, faculty members, and hundreds of students from across India.
A Tireless Advocate for the Gift of Life
Through powerful speeches, policy level advocacy, collaboration with security forces and medical institutions, and consistent engagement with youth, Rotarian Lal Goel continues to be one of India’s most influential voices for organ donation.
His mission remains clear:
To ensure that no life is lost for want of an organ, and that every Indian understands the power and responsibility of giving the gift of life.
