Mukund MGM Realty: Pioneering a Collaborative Culture to harness the global trend for Scaling and Speeding up the Economic Growth in Mangaluru

By NVP

Take care of the people and their concerns. They will take care of the city. This is the formula practiced and proposed by Gurudatt Shenoy, Vice President, Mukund MGM Realty, for everyone’s advantage. The dormant spaces are transformed into vibrant spots to attract the dynamic world across the world. Actions are at the speed of thoughts. Perfection is an ongoing process. The prescription of precision is applied with professionalism borrowed from the street of smartness.

Keep your theory in your cupboards. Come up with a practical formula and we are there to back up you in every respect and every aspect. This could be the message that I could gather from the gestures of Gurudatt Shenoy when I was on a brief conversation with him for Global TV. He was talking in a fast flow grabbing my attention in rapt. I could feel him like a heat seeking missile with an exception to explore than to explode. Success normally makes people egoistic. He was humble enough to talk about the possibilities much more than about the achievements.

There is a vacuum of stagnation after you achieve certain amount of success. You can either become a satellite that stabilizes to float on to the orbit or fire the rocket of your spirit towards the next destination. There are miles to go! It is the approach of MGM Realty. “Miles to go” is a phrase from the famous poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost. The full line is:

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep.”

The aims and interests of the trios at the leadership of Mukund MGM Realty are very clear even for an onlooker. They are bonded with friendship and intimacy between each of them. There is no hierarchy followed in the organization to keep anyone waiting for approvals and clearances. Freedom to choose is immense. Take leadership and responsibility together. Deliver results and go ahead further. This is time to achieve and to share the fruits of the womb of your efforts.

There are plenty of extra ordinary success stories that we hear as we go propelling into the rays of happenings towards happiness. Many people get into extraordinary journeys, navigating through a diverse array of experiences and roles. The story of Deepak Ganguli is of many turnarounds and twists that life can offer for various reasons that are natural and unnatural. His journey is marked by adaptability and passion with a quest for fulfillment, and a relentless pursuit to be among commons.

He was born in Kashmir because of his father being in Indian Army, and he had his early education in Punjab and that was because of his father’s job was transferable on and often. At fifth standard, he came to New Delhi and after some time to Karnataka’s Mangalore. He had to struggle a lot to clear his school exam because of one language paper, Kannada. It was troublesome, but he did it with the support of a teacher who somehow had succeeded in motivating and inspiring him to manage the language to handle the crisis. Tough times were cleared one after the other and then more difficult times occurred as they were waiting.

A Dream of Making It to the University Team:

Deepak’s college story goes with a youthful aspiration to be a part of the university team, not because it was his passion, but to make it to clear the academic target that had arisen out of attendance shortage. He had to struggle a lot to make it. After ten days of practice and anticipation, he received the news that he had been selected. However, the road to success was not without its challenges. Only nine out of fifteen candidates would make the final round. Deepak had to wait about nine days to know get the green signal. During this period, he leaned on his unwavering faith and the support of his family, particularly his father. It was a time when Deepak realized the power of persistence and determination.

The Unexpected Path to a Government Job:

As fate would have it, Deepak’s journey took an unexpected turn. He stumbled upon a government job opportunity as a Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteer, and despite the modest salary of 1000 rupees, he chose to embrace it. His family and friends questioned his decision, given the financial constraints, but Deepak saw more in this opportunity than what others could see. Working at Nehru Yoga Kendra, a government NGO, Deepak discovered a newfound passion for managing people and arranging events. This role became a cornerstone of his life, and the learnings from it would shape his future endeavors.

A Diverse Portfolio of Experiences:

Deepak’s journey wasn’t confined to a single path. He experimented various fields, from selling things to supervising ATM services. His adaptability and willingness to take challenges were evident throughout the initial phase of his life. He worked as a sales manager at Reliance Life Insurance, earning a respectable salary, but he still felt a void in his quest for fulfillment. It was a craving for something more, a desire to create his own brand, that drove him to seek new horizons.

Becoming an Event Manager:

The major turning point in Deepak’s journey came when he ventured into event management. He started small but went on to scale up his dreams, aspirations and achievements to a large space of imaginations and accomplishments. He could feel the joy of convincing people showing a blank slate, and showing them something on it, that they are inspired to embrace. Event management is very different from product selling. Product selling happens after you create a product. Event Management happens once you sell the project (product). Creation after selling is a wonderful idea that always inspire Deepak Ganguli. Creative imagination and perfect implementation is something unusual and amazing.

He went on organizing job fairs and education expos. His inaugural event at City Centre Mall, marked by its 30-32 stalls, was a significant step forward. Despite initial setbacks, Deepak’s persistence paid off, and he became involved with an event company from Hyderabad. An ambitious venture to organize a big event went on vein due to the block created by government sanctions etc. Hence the company decided to move back to Hyderabad. By then Deepak Ganguli had fallen in love with the life of Mangalore. Deepak’s commitment to staying true to his roots at Mangalore kept him in his beloved city of Mangalore. It had later turned to be more powerful and demanding when he had met with his better half. She turned to become his best half, in fact. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, and he faces them with the same spirit of determination and a relentless pursuit of his dreams. His journey is a reminder that life’s greatest rewards often come to those who are willing to tread the unconventional path.

Stakeholders should take collective action to address Inequalities | Vulnerable communities not as vulnurable as we assume | Equality in Totality is a profound and encompassing concept | It exists and Persists everywhere | Global TV

Happiness goes with the rule of Equality in Totality | We are living in a society that is striving towards justice in prosperity | Time is the leveler of every inequality | Invest Time towards your future | Demonstrate Patience in the process |

The concept of “Equality in Totality” is meticulously maintained in the conduct of the universe. There is continuity and connectivity visibly evident in the world of human ingenuity that is filled with pride, integrity and dignity.

Do to others what you would love others to do to you.

The phrase “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is often referred to as the Golden Rule. It is a fundamental ethical principle that suggests treating others with the same kindness, respect, and consideration that you would like to receive from them. This concept can be found in various forms across many cultures and religions and serves as a guideline for promoting empathy and positive interactions among individuals. The Golden Rule encourages people to consider the feelings, needs, and well-being of others in their actions and decisions, fostering a sense of empathy and mutual respect in personal and societal relationships. It promotes the idea that if we all treat each other the way we want to be treated, we can create a more harmonious and compassionate world. It goes beyond conventional notions of equality by encompassing a holistic approach that addresses not only economic disparities but also social, political, and cultural inequalities. We should explore the idea of Equality in Totality, its significance, and the steps we can take to foster a more inclusive and harmonious world.

The Multifaceted Nature of Equality

Equality is a universal principle. We, but, often associate it with the idea of equal opportunities and equal treatment. While these are essential aspects of it, a comprehensive understanding of equality must extend beyond these basic principles. Equality in Totality emphasizes the nature of the universe in leveling all facets of human existence so that the question of inequality is erased from the facet of earth.

These facets include:

Economic Equality: This is perhaps the most commonly recognized form of equality, focusing on income and wealth distribution. Achieving economic equality means closing the income gap, ensuring fair wages, and providing equal access to economic opportunities. These are possibilities of human interventions. You will understand them more well when you hear the quote saying “you can buy a costly bed but cannot buy a perfect sleep” or such many quotes describing true life.

Social Equality: Social equality involves addressing disparities on account of caste, race, gender, religion, and other social factors. It seeks to create a society where individuals are not discriminated or disadvantaged in whatsoever manner.

Political Equality: Political equality is about ensuring that all citizens have an equal voice and influence in the decisions that affect their lives. This includes fair and accessible elections, representation, and protection of fundamental rights.

Cultural Equality: Cultural equality recognizes the importance of diverse cultural backgrounds and traditions. It promotes the idea that no culture is superior to another and that individuals should be free to express their cultural identities without fear of discrimination.

Environmental Equality: In recent years, the concept of environmental equality has gained prominence. It highlights the need for equitable access to environmental resources, protection from environmental harm, and shared responsibility for preserving the planet.

The Significance of Equality in Totality

Equality in Totality is significant for several reasons:

Human Dignity: It upholds the inherent dignity of all individuals by ensuring that all are treated fairly and with respect.

Social Cohesion: A society that embraces Equality in Totality is more likely to be harmonious and cohesive, as it minimizes divisions and conflicts arising from inequalities.

Economic Prosperity: Economic and social disparities can hinder overall economic prosperity. By addressing these disparities, society can unlock its full potential for growth and development.

Innovation and Creativity: A diverse and inclusive society fosters innovation and creativity. Different perspectives and experiences can lead to new ideas and solutions to complex problems.

Global Peace: In an interconnected world, addressing inequalities on a global scale is crucial for maintaining peace and stability.

Steps to Achieve Equality in Totality

Achieving Equality in Totality is a complex and ongoing process, but there are concrete steps that individuals, communities, and governments can take to work towards this goal:

Education: Promote education that instills values of tolerance, diversity, and inclusivity from an early age. This helps combat prejudice and discrimination.

Economic Reforms: Bring the people at the bottom line into collective mode of social entrepreneurships that are addressing the disparities faced by farmers on account of controlled pricing and forced selling.

Representation: Ensure diverse representation in political and decision-making bodies to reflect the demographics of society.

Promote Cultural Exchange: Encourage cultural exchange programs and initiatives that celebrate diversity and foster cultural understanding.

Environmental Responsibility: Take collective action to address environmental inequalities, recognizing that environmental degradation disproportionately affects vulnerable communities.

Equality in Totality is a profound and encompassing concept that challenges us to address inequality in all its forms. By recognizing that equality extends beyond economics to encompass social, political, cultural, and environmental aspects, we can create a fairer, more inclusive, and harmonious world. Achieving Equality in Totality requires collective effort, but the rewards are greater human dignity, social cohesion, and prosperity that are well worth the journey.

Time Banking: Leveraging Time for Social Transformation

Time Banking, the core principle behind Time Bank, is a dynamic system based on reciprocity and community engagement. In this model, members pledge a specific number of hours, and these hours become a currency that can be traded for assistance or services within the community. The driving force of Time Banking is the belief that everyone’s time has essential value, and by contributing it to others, we can collectively address societal challenges. This approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility and cooperation within communities. We can do something with time when it is pooled collectively.

Time Banker: You have a Role in Shaping a Better Society

A Time Banker is an active participant in this transformative process. As a Time Banker, you commit a certain number of hours to coordinate and utilize the Time Bank network. These hours can be utilized to visualise and actualize outcomes with use of the time given by fellow members for various tasks or projects.

The key role of a Time Banker is not merely to accumulate hours but to actively engage people (Time investors) with their community. Collective sharing of the skills, and coordinated way of time utilization will contribute outcomes to the betterment of society. Time Bankers can play major roles in building a strong, interconnected, and interdependent community where exchange of time fosters trust and collaboration. Time is effectively used for individual and social good.

Time Banking: Creating innovative ideas for wealth creation along with bridging the Gap between Creative Solutions and Social Challenges

Time Banking extends beyond individual gain and underscores the importance of community building. It encourages inclusivity by welcoming individuals of diverse backgrounds and age groups, recognizing that everyone possesses valuable skills and knowledge. The impact of Time Banking transcends personal enrichment; it cultivates creativity, coexistence, and a profound sense of responsibility toward one’s community.

By mobilizing individuals to work collectively, Time Banking endeavours to bridge the divide between innovative solutions and persistent social challenges, thereby shaping a more harmonious and prosperous society.

Time Bank, Time Banking, and Time Bankers represent an innovative and inclusive approach to community development and social transformation. Let us harness the essential value of time and the power of collaboration to create a positive impact, emphasizing the interconnectedness of individuals within communities and their potential to effect meaningful change.

Global TV welcome National Chief Editors with all political affiliations. Only condition is to abstain from politicizing the media space. Keep everyone together in the process of development and equitable sharing of every outcome.

National Chief Editors for example can take up initiatives to promote new roles in various segments. Say, for promoting Tourism Ambassadors and Tourism Guides. There is a possibility of about 100 people to get into various new roles in tourism sector in every city in India. There are about 4,000 cities in India. Imagine 4,00,000 people becoming part of a National Tourism Development Campaign? There can be National Chief Editors for every hundred of them. Meaning, there can be about 4,000 National Chief Editors in India focusing mainly in Tourism Sector along with other Media Initiatives. Global TV branding is a campaign by itself.

Level 3: Zonal Chief Editors

Zooming in on specific geographic zones, the Zonal Chief Editors add contextual relevance to the Media Campaigns. They are responsible for ensuring that every zone is represented appropriately in every National Campaign. It is like giving pillars between spaces in a large building. The beauty is in the freedom in every operation. Zonal Chief Editors will have access to the entire team in their zone even when they are not directly connected with entire team. The idea is to keep every initiatives informed with every member in the zone. Zonal Chief Editors will tailor make the preferences according to the needs of different regions within their Zones. They will give every initiatives a personal touch by highlighting local events, traditions, and concerns. The unsung heroes of the Taluk are presented to the world through journalism innovations. Programs are organized in the Taluk and District Headquarters to honor achievers. These are done with coordination between Chief Editors at all levels.

Shedding light on the challenges faced by rural communities and bringing the attention of the larger societies is an important function of Global TV. Actually, we are identifying the possibilities to address the challenges and to convert them and celebrating their triumphs. Global TV highlights the ways and means for a collateral connectivity between various levels of a society.

Level 7: Village Chief Editors

At the bottom line of the action journalism pyramid is the Village Chief Editors. Plenty of Micro Economic Systems are developed with the help of experts in various segments. These are practical road maps to bring more light and bright life for the village fraternity.

Engaging the village society into value addition and value creation is the primary focus of Village Chief Editors. They will identify the people who are engaged in leadership and enterprising roles. Village Chief Editors can also get into leadership roles in organizing events and initiatives for the benefit of the village society.

A Great Possibility at Micro Economic Systems:

Coming together itself is success when it happens to be a collective and collaborative venture. It empowers people and encourage them to take advantage of a large scale intervention. Fifty thousand Tourism Guides in India is just an example. There are 4,000 Cities in India. A group of people in a city connected with a tourism coordinator can make it a primary revenue source. It will create opportunity for about 100 Tourism Guides and 10 Tourism Coordinators in a district. Global TV Editors can take advantage of either by directly enagaging in the process or leading a team that is engaged in the process.

Chief Editors should make sure that there is an equitable and legitimate system that is encouraging for people to become part of such initiatives. There are many other sectors like tourism sector that require such collective intervention. Chief Editors are in a way Innovators and Leaders in the transformation Process. It is a silent work in fact. What you do otherwise being a responsible citizen is done with a revenue system. Let your revenue come from the services that you are providing for the people.

Revenue Models in Media Space:

Media itself is a huge revenue possibility. Global TV Head Quarters can help you to make documentary films etc. about successful people from your village, city, district etc. There can be professional charges collected for the documentary films and other creative innovations. Think about unique programs. We can save money since we do large scale processing. Fifty percent of the surplus funds are equally distributed between Global TV, respective Chief Editors, and whoever become part of the process.

We shall also get into Referral Networking on Tourism, Insurance, Investment and any other relevant areas. Innovation is a great possibility. Time Bank is another focus that we can collectively nurture very well.

Global TV’s decision to welcome Chief Editors at six levels signifies a paradigm shift in positive probing and success story reporting. By providing comprehensive coverage at all levels, Global TV ensures that no success story goes untold. Through this revolutionary approach, Global TV aims to connect with large number non residents who are eager to get connected and valued at their native places. We can grow faster and better when we think in deeper level, reflecting on to the aspirations, concerns, and beliefs of people and societies.

Global TV continues to redefine journalism. We remain committed to delivering accurate, unbiased, and impactful success stories of the successful people around the globe. With the expertise and passion of our Chief Editors, we shape a new future in positive probing in the digital era. We are setting new benchmarks for excellence in journalism. The theory of Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Probing are areas to be explored to be understood as well.
