This cynical ploy echoes the insidious tactics employed by colonial powers, reminiscent of the British exploitation of India’s resources for their own gain.

The consequences of this shortsighted approach are dire and far-reaching, eroding the very fabric of our society. Recent events serve as stark reminders of the corrosive effects of political manipulation for petty gains. Values once cherished are now trampled upon in the relentless pursuit of power and profit.

But we cannot afford to remain passive observers in the face of such injustice. The time has come for us to raise our voices and demand accountability from those who claim to represent us. Zero Economics is like Rainwater Harvesting. There is nothing new and extra investment in the process. Each component in zero economics is an otherwise lost element. Time, space, talent, natural sources, resources etc. are combined to strengthen the ground level economics. Just like rainwater harvesting help recharging of the ground water level.

Even many campuses are suffering from the economic setback faced by the people at large. Many educational institutions are not got even Fifty percent of the fee collection in the last academic year. This is an unusual alarming situation. The whole economy is affected. There is a big hole in everyone’s pocket. We need to re stitch the entire fabric of the economy.

Globalization is vanished just like that. It is gone far in reverse gear. Every attempt in the line of practice is going to make the crisis more intense. No shortcuts will take us long into the highways. We need to make corrections at the foundation itself. Grabbing wealth in every possible way is no more a way forward. Smile cannot be created out of a cry somewhere else.

People are the foundation of economics. Strengthening economy of the people is the way to strengthen the economy at large. It is Just like groundwater level improved by rainwater harvesting. Create avenues and activities to generate revenue for the people. Link it with a chain of events that make it an economic circle. Make sure that the circle is complete with activities one after the other. When the circle is complete, it can cycle automatically and regularly.

Sometimes there can be many economic cycles created with a campus initiative. For example, Students in a college are assigned with a village to identify and implement economic strategies to strengthen the village economy. Village is divided Batch wise and many youth teams are engaged in brainstorming initiatives.

Each successful idea from any team is implemented everywhere through every teams. Economy of the village will get transformed within a short span of time. Think about linking these ideas with the life of people in the cities. Think about making it participatory. Make tourism element added in the programs. It is very easy to replace international tourism with internal tourism. Less travel and more stay will be the outcome. So many things can be added and connected when people are open and frank.

Today’s international economic principles are outdated. Scarcity economics is dead. Everything is in abundance in the world. Supply and demand theories are artificial. We need to re look into the entire book of economics. When needed to put everything outdated into fire. There is no economics greater than the fire in the belly.

The pervasive corruption that masquerades under the guise of development has crossed all boundaries. Behind closed doors, local politicians collude to line their pockets, heedless of the devastation they wreak upon the environment and the lives of ordinary citizens. Public property is privatized, laws are flouted, and the very fabric of society is torn asunder, all in the name of progress.

But the people are not blind to these injustices. From the alleys of urban slums to the halls of academia, a groundswell of discontent is rising. Recent protests against the so-called smart city projects serve as a potent reminder that the people will not idly stand by as their rights are trampled upon. These projects, purportedly aimed at urban development, serve only to enrich a select few at the expense of the many.

Consider the case of Kochi, where towering buildings were razed to the ground on the orders of the Supreme Court, decades of legal battles culminating in the displacement of countless families. These were not mere buildings; they were the dreams and aspirations of hardworking individuals, dashed upon the rocks of greed and corruption.

People are coming together and demanding transparency and accountability from those in power.

They question the violations, hold leaders and officials accountable, and strive for a society where development benefits all, not just the privileged few. People are demanding for a future where the rule of law reigns supreme, and the greed of a few cannot overshadow the needs of the many.

We see the people in powerful positions shattered in front of the unity of the people who are questioning irregularities. Society becomes responsible when the people in position are answerable to the law of the land. Law doesn’t belong to the law makers and the law enforcement officers. Everyone should stand shoulder to shoulder to protect the law. The youth are migrating abroad because there are no opportunities in India. There are no opportunities created in India because of corruption to the core. Wealth is not opened up for the people at large. There are no large opportunities available abroad in today’s scenario. People need to become more united to create a better tomorrow for ourselves and for generations to come. The time for change is now. We all should become responsible citizens and stakeholders of development. No possibilities for onlookers.
