Best Teacher Awards 2023 – 24 Organized by Global TV and JCI Mangalore Impact, under the leadership of Dr. Ruksana Hassan, Child psychologist, The National UN Volunteers-India, and Social Reformer


In the serene coastal city of Mangalore, an inspirational event to honour teachers and educational excellence was organised on 9 september 2023. Global TV and JCI Mangalore Impact joined hands to organize the prestigious Best Teacher Awards 2023 – 24. This distinguished event aimed to recognize and celebrate the tireless dedication, unwavering passion, and remarkable contributions of educators in shaping the future of our society. Dr. Ruksana Hassan, a luminary in the field of education, led the award process with grace and fervour, ensuring that this occasion was nothing short of spectacular.


The Best Teacher Awards was graced by distinguished guests who added an aura of prestige to the event:


Prof. (Dr) MS Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed University), Mangalore, as the Chief Guest.
Mrs. Geetha Kulkarni, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mangalore City, as the Guest of Honour.
JCI PPP Karthikeya Madhyastha, National Co-Ordinator – NLTS and JC Advocate Girish S P, National Co-Ordinator JCI India were the guests.


Global Presence


The global educational community joined the event their through online presence. People from four states in India and guest from various parts of the world participated the event. Special invitees were;

The grand event was organised at School of Social Work, Roshini Nilaya, Mangaluru. The winners of the Best Teacher Awards 2023 – 24 were announced both in Online and On Stage Categories.
Noushin Banu, the luminary from Mangalore, stood tall as the recipient of the coveted Best Teacher Award 2023 – 24. Her commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning was truly inspirational.
Sharmila Kumar of Prestige International School claimed the well-deserved 2nd place. Her dedication to imparting knowledge with passion and precision earned her this prestigious recognition.
Online Winner
While the spotlight illuminated the physical winners, the virtual realm witnessed its own triumph. Shaila Saldanha, an online sensation hailing from Presidency, showcased the power of modern teaching methods. Her online presence was a testament to the evolving landscape of education.

Best Supportive Teacher – Dr. Whaheed Banu
Best Innovative Teacher – Reena A S Maxwel
Best Inspiration Teacher – Noushin Banu (a dual awardee, her influence was truly profound)
Best Language Teacher – Sharmila Kumar (showcasing linguistic excellence)
Best Physical Education Teacher – K. Maheswaran
Best Yoga Teacher – Anitha S. (nurturing the mind-body connection)
Best Trainer – Prashanth Shetty (shaping the leaders of tomorrow)
Best Community Teacher – Muhammad Fazily Alkamili Alfurkaani (bridging education and society)
Best MES Teacher – Mercy Veena D’Souza (in recognition of modular employment skill)
