Inauguration and Installation of CREDAI Women’s Wing: Empowering Women in Real Estate

Mangalore, September 27, 2023 – On a splendid evening at the Ocean Pearl, Pacific 4, Mangalore, the real estate industry witnessed a historic event that promises to bring new dimensions to the field. The Inauguration and Installation of CREDAI Women’s Wing (CWW) organized by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) Mangalore Chapter was a grand affair, attended by prominent figures and enthusiasts alike.

The event commenced at 7:00 p.m. and was graced by notable dignitaries including the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Mullai Muhilan M.P., I.A.S, District Commissioner of D.K District, and guest of honor Mr. Pradeep Raikar, President of CREDAI Karnataka, and Mrs. Sarah Jacob, CWW National Secretary who were accompanied by Mrs. Kritheen Amin, Coordinator of CWW Mangalore Chapter, Mrs. Rajni Patrao, Secretary of CWW Mangalore Chapter.

The evening’s proceedings began with an inspiring introduction video, setting the tone for the event’s significance. This was followed by a warm welcome speech by Mr. Sudeesh Karunakaran, the Treasurer of CREDAI Mangalore, who conveyed the enthusiasm and anticipation that enveloped the room.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Vinod Pinto, the President of CREDAI Mangalore, emphasized the importance of women’s participation in the real estate sector. He highlighted the need for gender diversity and equality in the industry and how the CWW initiative would be a game-changer.

The formal Inauguration and Installation of CREDAI Women’s Wing took place after the symbolic lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries. Mrs. Sarah Jacob was introduced as the Secretary of CWW Mangalore Chapter, and Mrs. Kritheen Amin took on the role of Coordinator of CWW Mangalore Chapter. The event also featured an oath-taking ceremony led by Mrs. Sarah Jacob, underscoring the dedication and mission of the CWW.

One of the highlights of the evening was the impassioned speech by Mrs. Kritheen Amin, the Coordinator of CWW Mangalore Chapter. She eloquently spoke about women’s leadership and presented valuable suggestions on enhancing the role of women in the real estate sector and also Women displaying extraordinary multitasking prowess, expertly managing office responsibilities while maintaining harmonious homes. This remarkable balance of work and family life serves as a testament to their adaptability and invaluable contributions.

Mr. Pradeep Raikar, President of CREDAI Karnataka, shared insights into the CSR activities and learning and training programs initiated by CWW, illustrating their commitment to skill development and community welfare.

Mrs. Sarah Jacob, CWW National Secretary, discussed the CSR activities, online classes on economy and sustainability, and the invaluable contribution of women to labor development. She also recounted an enriching tour organized by CWW to Gujarat.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Mullai Muhilan, District Commissioner of Mangalore, praised the invaluable role played by women in making houses into homes. He emphasized the independent intelligence of women and pledged unwavering support for future endeavors in the real estate sector.

A significant moment during the event was the presentation of scholarship checks to deserving students by the Chief Guest, Mr. Mullai Muhilan M.P., I.A.S, District Commissioner, reaffirming the commitment to education and empowerment.

The evening concluded with a heartwarming gesture as mementos were presented to all the dignitaries, acknowledging their significant contributions to the real estate industry. Mrs. Rajni Patrao, Secretary of CWW, delivered a gracious Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and partners for making the event a resounding success.

CREDAI Women’s Wing (CWW) to be inaugurated in Mangaluru

CREDAI – Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India, Mangalore Chapter consists of more than 75 active members.

The construction industry used to be considered a male-dominated business, but in keeping with the changing times, CREDAI seeks to imbibe an all-inclusive workplace, of which women play a key role. Women form an important and integral part of society and business culture. Women in the workplace are the need of the hour. They bring their own views, capabilities, and strengths, which enhance and help the business to grow and flourish. With an increasing number of women involved in the real estate business, CREDAI believes it is time to install its own women’s wing in Mangaluru.

CREDAI National, the apex body, envisioned a Women’s Wing at all levels, including the national level, with a determined plan to transform women into knowledgeable and successful entrepreneurs. CREDAI Women’s Wing (CWW) aims at making the real estate industry gender-neutral. CWW provides a strong networking forum and also creates an incubation program to encourage more active women participation in this industry.

The first Women’s Wing Chapter was inaugurated in 2016 in Pune, and today there are more than 75 Women’s Wing chapters across the country, ready to manage the business.

The CREDAI Mangalore City Chapter was formed in the year 2018 and in a very short period of time has gained popularity and commands huge respect in the city. The current President, Mr. Vinod Pinto, and his team have been instrumental in forming the Women’s Wing in Mangalore. The inauguration and installation of the CREDAI Women’s Wing will be held in a meaningful ceremony on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Iccan Pearl Hotel in Mangaluru.

Mrs. Kritheen Amin, Director, Northern Sky Properties, will be installed as the CWW Coordinator, while Mrs. Rajni Lobo Patrao, representing Paradise Properties, will be installed as Secretary for the term 2023-25.

Mr. Mullai Muhilan, Deputy Commissioner will be the Chief Guest, and Mr. Pradeep Raikar, President, CREDAI Karnataka, and Mrs. Sarah Jacob, National Secretary for CWW, will be guests of honor.
