Mangaluru, April 12, 2025: As part of its momentous 60th anniversary celebrations, Hebich Technical Training Institute (HTTI), Balmatta, Mangaluru, will host a three-day Multidisciplinary Engineering Marathon titled “Engineering Beyond Borders” from 22nd to 24th April 2025. This unique academic initiative brings together industry and academia to inspire final-year diploma students and faculty with insights across multiple engineering disciplines.
The event will be inaugurated by Rev. Dr. H. M. Watson, Secretary of Karnataka Christian Educational Society (KACES), a respected figure known for his visionary leadership in technical and vocational education. His presence will symbolize the legacy and forward momentum of HTTI’s mission to serve society through skill-based education.
The valedictory function will be held on the final day of the Marathon, graced by esteemed dignitaries. The Chief Guests for the occasion will be Dr. P. P. Devan, Professor at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, and Mrs. Geetha Kulkarni, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mangaluru, both of whom have contributed significantly to health and safety respectively. The function will also witness the presence of Guests of Honour, including Dr. Rukhsana Hasan, noted child psychologist and mental wellness advocate; Assoc. Prof. Vineeta Rai, former Registrar of the School of Social Work and an educationist of repute; and NV Paulose, Chairman of Global TV and a pioneer in grassroots media and social innovation.
This multidisciplinary gathering will enrich the students’ understanding of engineering disciplines and instil in them a sense of social responsibility and professional ethics. The collaborative platform set by HTTI will encourage open dialogues, innovation, and future-readiness among the youth.
