I have had the privilege of knowing Wing Commander Arijit Ghosh for nearly twenty-five years. I have admired him as a Ranji cricketer, respected him as an officer of the Indian Air Force, and appreciated him as an accomplished Penguin author. Yet, of all the roles he has fulfilled with distinction, the one that defines him most is that of a devoted husband.

When Mrs. Lipika Ghosh’s health began to fail, Wing Commander Arijit Ghosh quietly set aside everything else to stand beside her. His unwavering care, boundless love, and selfless dedication became the strength on which she could lean through her long and difficult journey. Their relationship reflected the true meaning of commitment, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Lipika Ghosh herself was a woman of exceptional courage. She fought her illness with remarkable dignity and determination until her very last breath. Even as her body grew weaker, her resolve remained unshaken. She continued to attend school and teach almost until the final week of her life. She did not merely teach academic subjects. She taught sporting spirit, grace, compassion, and the strength to face adversity with a smile.

Her students will remember her as a teacher. Those who knew her will remember her as an inspiration.
There are no words that can ease the sorrow of Wing Commander Arijit Ghosh and their two children. The loss they bear is beyond expression. Yet they can take comfort in knowing that Mrs. Lipika Ghosh lived a life of purpose and touched countless hearts through her kindness, courage, and quiet strength.

Some lives continue to illuminate the path of others long after they are retired. Lipika Ghosh’s is one such life.
May her noble soul rest in eternal peace.
Forever remembered. Forever missed.

A perfect tribute to lipika.
I have known her since Arijit & me were roomy in our younger days at AFA.She was her inspiration then & continued the same role till her last breath. She was an epitome of courage & inspiration to others & never allowed her disease to overcome her serious ailments on her mission of education to kids & keeping the family bonded together.I still remember her hearty laughs & inspiring conversations whenever we met.
Certainly it’s a great loss to Arijit & family.May almighty grant them courage to overcome this sad loss.I pray to Almighty to grant her peace & place in his own personal abode.
