ROTARIAN LAL GOEL ADDRESSES ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS ON AKASHVANI MATHURA
Mathura, 19 June 2026: Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder & Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International (RCODI) and Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, was featured in a special interview on Akashvani (All India Radio), Mathura, to promote the noble cause of organ donation.

The programme, titled “Angdaan – Mahadaan” (The Supreme Gift — The Greatest Act of Giving), was conducted by Mr Om Prakash Singh, Programme Head, Akashvani Mathura, at the All India Radio studios in Mathura.
During the engaging discussion, Rotarian Lal Goel highlighted the life-saving impact of organ donation, the present status of organ transplantation in India, and the challenges that continue to hinder the growth of deceased organ donation. He emphasised the urgent need for greater public awareness, timely identification of brain-death cases, and stronger community participation to bridge the gap between the demand for and availability of organs.
Sharing his vision for the future, Rotarian Lal Goel called upon citizens to pledge their organs and become organ donation warriors of this humanitarian movement, noting that a single organ donor can save up to nine lives and offer hope to countless families.
Also present on the occasion were Rotarian PHF Deepak Goel, TRF Chair (2026–27), and Mr Satyavrat Singh, Programme Head, Doordarshan Mathura.
The programme served as a meaningful step towards encouraging informed conversations and inspiring more people to embrace organ donation as the ultimate gift of life, reaching thousands of listeners across the Mathura-Vrindavan region.
