Mangaluru, October 1: The Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) held a valedictory program at its Paneer Campus learning center to mark the successful completion of an international clinical internship. The program was organized for students participating in NITTE’s landmark collaboration with nursing institutions in Denmark. The initiative aims to provide global healthcare exposure and enhance the clinical skills of nursing professionals.

Mrs. Jincy K. S., Faculty Coordinator of the International Cell at NUINS, opened the event with a welcome address. She highlighted the main objectives of the Denmark internship and shared key milestones achieved by the participating cohort during their time abroad.
Global Exposure and Experiential Learning

In her presidential speech, Dr. Sabitha Nayak, Principal of NUINS, commended the students for their performance. She emphasized that international exposure plays a vital role in building culturally sensitive and competent nursing graduates. She encouraged the students to integrate their international insights into their local practice to improve patient care standards.

During the ceremony, the interning students presented a summary report of their learning journey. They shared detailed observations regarding Danish healthcare systems, clinical practices, and cultural experiences gained during the placement. Following the presentations, students were formally awarded certificates of completion to recognize their effort and dedication.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Jincy K. S., followed by group photographs and light refreshments. The event underscored NITTE’s continued commitment to providing high-quality global opportunities and expanding international academic collaborations in nursing education.
Beyond academic learning, the program provided a powerful platform for cultural exchange and international camaraderie. Immersed in Denmark’s healthcare environment, the nursing students broadened their perspectives, developing global competence alongside lifelong friendships. By bridging healthcare practices across continents, this experience has empowered these future nurses with the confidence, global exposure, and cross-cultural empathy needed to make a meaningful difference in healthcare systems worldwide.

Looking forward, this initiative paves the way for a bright future of continuous global learning and institutional collaboration. Programs like this highlight NITTE’s unwavering dedication to shaping world-class healthcare leaders equipped for an interconnected world.
