Mangaluru, August 15: The Karnataka Nair Service Society (KNSS), Mangaluru Karayogam, will celebrate Onam 2026 on Sunday, August 16, at Kootakkala Auditorium, Kudroli Shree Bhagavathi Temple, Mangaluru.
The celebrations will begin at 9.30 am with flag hoisting, followed by a series of traditional and cultural programmes, including Thiruvathira dance, cultural performances and felicitation of achievers.
Noted orator and National Award-winning teacher from Mayyil, Kannur, Radhakrishnan Manikoth, will be the chief guest and keynote speaker.
The programme will be attended by Minister U.T. Khader, MP Brijesh Chowta, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath and Dr Bharath Shetty Y, and MLCs Ivan D’Souza, Kishore Kumar Botyady and P.V. Mohan. Other distinguished guests include BJP Dakshina Kannada president Sathish Kumpala, former Karnataka minister Ramanath Rai, Union Bank DGM and Regional Head Tejaswini, Mookambika Temple Kollur trustee P.V. Abhilash, Rohan Corporation chairman and managing director Dr Rohan Monteiro, and Daijiworld Media founder Walter Nandalike.
The celebrations will feature a traditional Kerala Onam Sadhya, cultural programmes and entertainment, bringing together members, families and well-wishers to celebrate the spirit and traditions of Onam.
The programme will be presided over by KNSS president Murali Hosamajalu, along with the organisation’s board office-bearers and Karayogam committee members.
