ROTARY CLUB OF ORGAN DONATION INTERNATIONAL ATTENDS SOTTO KARNATAKA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
Bengaluru, 3 August 2026: Rtn Lal Goel, Founder & Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation and GYAN, attended the Executive Committee Meeting of the State Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) Karnataka and Jeevasarthakathe at the office of the Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, SOTTO Karnataka, Jeevasarthakathe, and other key stakeholders involved in organ donation and transplantation.
During the meeting, Rtn Lal Goel stressed that every Revenue District Headquarters in Karnataka should have at least one Organ Retrieval Centre. He explained that strengthening the state’s organ retrieval infrastructure would significantly improve access to deceased organ donation and substantially increase the organ donation rate across Karnataka.
As a mark of Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service, Rtn Lal Goel presented the Rotary Flag to the Hon’ble Minister, symbolising Rotary’s unwavering dedication to “Service Above Self” and its continued support for advancing organ donation awareness and saving lives.
Appreciating the suggestions, the Hon’ble Minister requested Rtn Lal Goel to prepare and submit a comprehensive roadmap outlining strategic measures to enhance organ donation and transplantation in Karnataka.
