Celebrating 14 Years of Compassionate Dedication and Its Impact: The Remarkable Journey of Snehalaya Charitable Trust.


Manjeswaram: In a meaningful commemoration, Snehalaya Charitable Trust observed its 14th anniversary, symbolizing over a decade of devoted service filled with empathy and its far-reaching consequences. Established on the principles of caring and selflessness, this institution has emerged as a guiding light, reaching out to the marginalized and bringing about significant positive changes in countless lives throughout its existence.


The ceremonial proceedings began amidst a gathering of prominence at the recently constructed Grotto of St. Devasahayam Pillai. This sacred space received blessings and formal consecration from the respected Rev. Fr. Basil Vas, who serves as the Parish Priest at the Sacred Hearts Church in Vorkady. The event was graced by the presence of notable figures, including Rev. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves OCD, a distinguished figure serving as the Assistant Provincial of the Karnataka & Goa Province. Also adding importance to the occasion were the esteemed Founder Br Joseph Crasta and other respected trustees of Snehalaya.
Following the blessings, a Solemn Thanksgiving Mass took place, presided over by Rev. Fr. Archibald OCD and co-officiated by Rev. Fr. Edwin Pinto, the Parish Priest of Manjeshwar Church, Fr. Basil Vas, the Parish Priest of Vorkady Church, and Fr. Cyril D’Souza, the Chaplain of Snehalaya.


After the conclusion of the Mass, Br Joseph Crasta, the Founder of Snehalaya, expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt speech. He presented tokens of appreciation in the form of mementos and bouquets to the officiating clergy, and he extended his sincere thanks to the distinguished attendees, valued benefactors, and cherished well-wishers. Notably, he also recognized the exceptional efforts of Mr. Marko Stanly Fernandes, who was honored as the Best Staff of the Year.


As a climactic finale to the event, a lavish meal was provided to all participants, marking the pinnacle of the festivities. The recipients, enjoying this abundant feast, conveyed their deep appreciation to Br Joseph Crasta, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
