| This is a Journey of Barefoot College (SWRC) Tilonia’s Solar Energy Concept in Action Since 1979 As we celebrate our golden jubilee this year, we acknowledge the continuing emphasis on empowering rural women, across geographies as agents of change by teaching them solar engineering skills. Addressing 14/17 Sustainable Developmental Goals, set by the United Nations, the Solar Mamas project has been one of the most important life changing initiatives that has reduced the fuel-wood and kerosene dependency that has harmed the environment and health of women by providing access to clean energy in many of the remote and isolated parts of India and the world.
