As Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering & Technology (MBCCET), Peermade, celebrates its Silver Jubilee, the institution is turning 25 years of excellence into a meaningful act of service. Through the APJKTU NSS Cell (Unit 180), MBCCET has launched “For One of Our Own,” a special Silver Jubilee initiative dedicated to building homes for three homeless families. This is a promise of hope, dignity, and a brighter future for families in need.
Our Mission: Three Homes, Countless Hopes
The heart of this initiative is simple yet powerful: to build safe and secure homes for three families who need them most. A home is more than four walls and a roof. It is a place of safety, belonging, and new beginnings. Through this project, MBCCET aims to transform lives by providing families with the security and dignity they deserve. By bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and well-wishers, we hope to turn the spirit of togetherness into lasting change. Together, we can turn a house into a home and every contribution into hope.
Small Steps, Meaningful Change
The journey has already begun with a series of community-focused activities. As part of the pre-project initiative, MBCCET students and NSS volunteers, with the support of the college management, undertook the renovation of local Anganwadis.
These efforts focused on:
- Better Learning Spaces: Creating brighter, more welcoming environments for young children.
- Safety and Sanitation: Improving facilities to make them cleaner, safer, and more comfortable.
- Community Service: Turning the spirit of social responsibility into meaningful action.
These initiatives reflect MBCCET’s commitment to serving the community and lay a strong foundation for the larger mission of building homes.
