ALL RELIGIONS IN INDIA SUPPORT ORGAN DONATION, SAYS ROTARIAN LAL GOEL
Agra, 22nd August 2026: Rtn Lal Goel, Founder & Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International (RCODI) and Chairman of Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, was the Chief Guest and Motivational Speaker at Sant Ramkrishna Kanya Inter College, Agra.

Addressing the gathering, Rtn Lal Goel highlighted that all major religions practised in India support the noble concept of organ donation, citing Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Jainism, and Buddhism as examples of faith traditions that encourage compassion, charity, selfless service, and giving to others.
He urged the teachers of Sant Ramkrishna Kanya Inter College to educate and motivate students about the importance of organ donation in India, emphasising the vital role educators can play in building awareness and creating a culture of donation among the younger generation.

Earlier in the programme, Mr M. M. Chawla, Chairman of the College, welcomed Rtn Lal Goel with a patka and a plant sapling. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Rtn Lal Goel and other dignitaries.
This was followed by a lively question-and-answer session, during which attendees actively participated and raised questions about organ donation.
Rtn Lal Goel and fellow Rotarians presented the Rotary flag to Ms Anu Chawla, and Ms Priya Kapoor both Directors of the College.
Representing the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International were Rtn PHF Deepak Goel, Foundation Chair; Rtn PHF Ritika Gupta, Inspire President; Rtn Kishore Mittal; and Rtn Leena Harit.
Rtn Lal Goel expressed his gratitude to the Chairman, Directors, teachers, and all attendees for their enthusiastic participation. He expressed the hope that the college will continue to organise such awareness programmes in the future and contribute to strengthening the movement for organ donation.
