He was delivering veteran journalist Sadananda Hegadekatte special lecture series on account of Kannada Press Day organised by Moodubidire Press Club (R.) and Working Journalist Union, Moodubidire on July 1, 2020.

He added, “During this pandemic rural journalists are facing survival issues due to various factors. However, there is a huge scope for rural media entrepreneurs in the post Covid scenario because of new policies and projects which are village centric. Decentralised economy and new reforms in laws related to agricultural lands will definitely be the game changer for development communication which will benefit journalists, journalism and society at large.”

Rural focused Journalists only has the mind and mandate to transform the nation. Heart of Journalists should move towards Villages and Journalists should take the lead for transformation. Values are remaining in Journalism. There are plenty of examples where Reporters had created huge impact in the life of people. Is society thinking about the life of the journalists? The journalists who are living out of the linage (Remuneration based on the lines written) is not being cared much in the media world.

Rural Journalists are working 24X7 and there is no service protection for the journalists. Is there any news that appeared about how many journalists lost their jobs in corona account? We need to understand the realities. There is journalists who is learned journalism and the Managing Editor who sit on top come from MBA background. What kind of a journalism that we are going to demonstrate in this scenario?

Farmers, Ladies and Youth are the path for revival of Indian Economy. We should Protect them and provide them with resources and training to convert today’s reality into the advantage for tomorrow. There should be care, support and professionalism engaged to empower these three segments.

Focusing on these three sectors can help us reach development to entire India. Farmers are being exploited for centuries. Every strategy is played to exploit farmers in large scale. Yet the farmers are living happily with divine interventions and with support of infinite intelligence. We should learn from the mistakes of others and should derive at non threatening methods to evolve great economic revolutions.

Ladies are a great force that is making India to survive in every crisis. Gentlemen and standing right in front of them so much not to make even their shadow visible anywhere. That’s a general statement and there are cases where woman are in limelight and are proved excellence in many unique ways. Every woman should get into the track of creating wellbeing for themselves and society. This is the message of today and it’s realities.

Empowering women and encouraging them to unleash their educational qualifications and life experience for empowering the society around them and to create economic circles of excellence at local to global levels.

We are living in a time where we cannot afford to frequent our movements. We should create a dynamic society being almost static and steady. Digitalization should take a reverse globalization today. It should originate at family circles and should expand digitally everywhere.

Youth were guided forcefully by elders called educators. They were equipped with tools that were working in the very old past. We were driving the vehicle of education with almost zero upgradations in education systems and methods at university levels.

Corruption and control were imposed over the system making them to make the birds coming in to be tied at the benchmarks in the classrooms. More nails were placed time to time to make the system under control. Monitoring and evaluation systems followed for decades are examples of blind leading a forcefully blinded society.

Centralized classroom is an old story today. Of course we can have them turn to turn provided we are Heigenic at every levels. Lot of employment can happen in the hospitality segment in the education system. There is a possibility for exponential collaboration between education and hospitality sectors.
Reality today is of a decentralized classroom and a shift from teaching to learning. It can be narrated through a little story.

Young man was very fond of his Labrador. Doctor adviced ghee for improving the health of the Labrador. He brought a litre of ghee and came with two of his friends and tried to pour ghee into the mouth of the Labrador spoon by spoon holding it’s hands and legs and forcefully opening it’s mouth. Suffocated and desperate the Labrador came out to it’s vigour throwing everyone and the ghee to shatter all around. Young man left Labrador on it’s way and went to make himself clean from the dirty spread of ghee. He was wonder struck on his way back seeing his Labrador licking and enjoying every bit of the ghee.

We can transform education just by stopping teaching and making it a learning process. Teachers becoming mentors will make learning process faster and proper.

Digitally connecting the farmers, ladies and students will complete the circle of excellence and it will evolve into an evolution of micro economic rejuvenation. This will function like a rainwater harvest system. When the wells are filled the corporates can draw water from it. Empty wells make their shops totally deserted.

Think well and help the well to get filled by itself. This is nationally possible with a cultural integrated digital fusion.
