Land Links | LAUNCH of Four State-of-the-Art Convention Halls at Four Prominent Locations in Mangaluru | Global TV

Four Modern Auditoriums: Strategically located across four areas in Mangaluru.

Inauguration by: Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, the Honourable Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
A Unique Gift to the Coastal People: Presented by Krishna J. Palemar to commemorate the 45-year successful journey of Land Links.

Mangaluru: Land Links, the pride of the coastal region and a highly prestigious real estate firm, has earned the trust of millions over the last 45 years through its honest and successful business operations. To commemorate this long and successful journey, the organization is concurrently launching four grand, state-of-the-art convention halls tailored to the needs of the public at four prime locations in Mangaluru, for the very first time. The Chief Guest, Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, the Honourable Governor of Andhra Pradesh, will officially launch all four halls.
Featuring cutting-edge amenities, luxurious designs, and natural beauty, the grand inauguration ceremony of these four spectacular Palemar halls will be celebrated on Saturday, 23 May 2026. The inaugural event will commence at 10:00 am at the Palemar Convention Centre in Maryhill, Mangaluru.

A Grand Gathering of Dignitaries
The ceremony will be graced by a host of coastal and state-level political, social, religious leaders, and entrepreneurs. Notable dignitaries include:
Shri V. Somanna (Honourable Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, Government of India)
Shri U. T. Khader (Honourable Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly)
Captain Brijesh Chowta (Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency)
Dr. Y. Bharath Shetty (MLA, Mangaluru City North)
Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath (MLA, Mangaluru City South)
Shri Umanatha Kotian (MLA, Mulki-Moodabidri)
Shri Ivan D’Souza (MLC, Karnataka)

A Noble Vision of Giving Back to Society
This ambitious project is the dream child of Krishna J. Palemar, Chairman of the Land Links Group and former Minister of the Government of Karnataka. His core objective is to emphasize the cultural richness of the coastal region and provide top-tier auditorium facilities to the local public at affordable rates.
These convention halls will be open for social welfare activities such as weddings, mass marriages, religious and cultural events, job fairs, exhibitions, public gatherings, and women empowerment programs.

Sharing his heartfelt thoughts on the initiative, Krishna J. Palemar stated:
“I have not built these four convention halls with a purely commercial, profit-driven mindset. I have designed them with the noble intention of giving back to society in return for the love and support the people of the coastal region have showered upon us for the last 45 years. The feeling of contentment and peace seen in the eyes of parents during events like mass marriages for underprivileged families is my true wealth. Our institution always seeks the welfare of the public.”

Social Commitment and Free Services
Land Links has been renowned for its social concern. The core philosophy of the organization is to treat everyone without any discrimination based on caste, religion, or economic status. As part of this social commitment, it has been decided to provide these auditoriums free of cost (subject to regulations) for mass marriages and noble, well-intentioned public welfare events organized for the good of society.
Honouring Educational Achievers: As another special highlight of the inaugural ceremony, academic achievers will be felicitated on behalf of the Vikaas Education Trust, which has been contributing immensely to the education sector. This initiative aims to inspire the younger generation to contribute further to the nation’s progress.

Furthermore, this mega project will boost the local economy and create widespread employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth in sectors like decoration, catering, photography, and lighting, marking the beginning of a new chapter in regional development.
Beachside Outdoor Event Venue Coming Soon to Mangaluru
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, a fully-equipped Outdoor Event Venue is being constructed on the sea shore of the coastal city of Mangaluru, to enable the hosting of grand and mega events. The venue will be open to the public shortly. We hope you pay a visit to that auditorium too, when it’s ready.

EVIO800 | retrofitted autonomous electric vehicle powered by a sodium-ion battery | Global TV

Kerala Students Develop a Pioneering Retrofitted Autonomous EV Powered by Sodium-Ion Battery

Peerumade, Kerala: In a breakthrough that blends sustainability with cutting-edge technology, a team of final-year engineering students from Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Peerumade, has developed a pioneering retrofitted autonomous electric vehicle powered by a sodium-ion battery. The innovative project, named EVIO800, is gaining widespread attention for its originality, practicality, and future potential.

The project team comprises five students Jiss M Skaria, Nithin Rajesh, Akhil Padmajan, Anson Shaji, and Anujith Joseph who have worked collaboratively to transform a conventional vehicle into an intelligent, eco-friendly autonomous system. Their achievement stands out not only for its technical sophistication but also for its strong focus on sustainability and affordability.

Unlike traditional electric vehicles that rely on lithium ion batteries, EVIO800 is powered by a sodium-ion battery, an emerging technology known for its abundance, lower cost, and environmental benefits. By adopting sodium ion chemistry, the team has addressed key challenges related to resource availability and long-term sustainability, making their solution especially relevant for developing regions.

The vehicle is retrofitted, meaning an existing vehicle was upgraded rather than built from scratch. This approach significantly reduces costs and demonstrates a scalable model for converting conventional vehicles into smart electric ones. The EVIO800 is equipped with advanced sensors, cameras, and onboard processing systems that enable autonomous navigation, obstacle detection, and real-time decision-making.

A major highlight of the project is its integration of artificial intelligence to optimize driving performance and energy consumption. The system ensures efficient power usage while maintaining safety and reliability, making it a practical solution for future mobility needs.

The project was sponsored by Verdant Telemetry & Antenna Systems, whose support played a crucial role in the development and successful execution of the idea. The team also benefited from guidance provided by faculty members and technical mentors throughout the project lifecycle.

Their mentorship played a vital role in refining the technical design, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring the successful completion of the project.

Speaking about their achievement, the team shared their vision of taking EVIO800 beyond the academic stage. They aim to develop this concept into a startup focused on sustainable and intelligent transportation solutions. With growing global interest in alternative battery technologies and autonomous systems, the project positions them at the forefront of next-generation mobility innovation.

This remarkable accomplishment not only brings pride to their institution but also highlights Kerala’s growing contribution to advancements in green technology. EVIO800 is not just a student project it represents a bold step toward the future of transportation, driven by innovation, sustainability, and youthful ambition.

ONE ORGAN DONATION WARRIOR CAN INSPIRE THOUSANDS, SAYS ROTARIAN LAL GOEL

ONE ORGAN DONOR CAN SAVE MULTIPLE LIVES.

Mumbai, 17th May 2026: Addressing a meeting of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International, Rotarian Lal Goel, Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation and Founder & Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International, said that India continues to face one of the world’s most severe shortages of organ donors despite having advanced transplant facilities and highly skilled doctors.

He asserted:

“One Organ Donor Can Save Multiple Lives. One Organ Donation Warrior Can Inspire Thousands.”

Rotarian Lal Goel was speaking on “Organ Donation Warriors – A Nationwide Mission to Build India’s Largest Citizen-Led Organ Donation Awareness Network”, led by the Organ Donation India Foundation in association with the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Global TV.

The initiative seeks to create a strong national force of trained volunteers dedicated to spreading awareness about organ donation, encouraging organ donor pledges, removing myths and misconceptions, and inspiring communities across India to embrace the life-saving mission of organ donation.

Rotarian Lal Goel observed that thousands of patients die every year while waiting for organ transplants — not because treatment is unavailable, but because organs are not donated in time.

Beginning his address with the famous words of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy:

“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”

Rotarian Lal Goel said that these words perfectly reflect the spirit of Organ Donation Warriors.

He stated that the country today requires citizens who are willing to step forward, spread awareness, inspire hope, and save lives through organ donation advocacy.

Describing the initiative as “a citizen-led revolution of compassion,” he emphasised that Organ Donation Warriors is not merely a campaign, but a national humanitarian movement aimed at transforming ordinary citizens into ambassadors of life and hope.

He said the movement welcomes all citizens above 18 years of age, including organ donors, transplant recipients, donor families, students, healthcare professionals, social workers, Rotary and Lions members, media professionals, and all individuals committed to humanitarian service.

Rotarian Lal Goel highlighted that one of the unique aspects of the movement is that it is a completely FREE programme with no registration fee or charges of any kind.

He informed that all registered Organ Donation Warriors will receive free online training covering:
Organ donation awareness, Brain death awareness, Legal and ethical aspects, Public speaking and communication, Social media advocacy, Community outreach, and Volunteer leadership

The movement plans to organise awareness drives, seminars, workshops, school and college programmes, social media campaigns, walkathons, candlelight tributes, and public outreach programmes across the country.

Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, Rotarian Lal Goel said:

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

He remarked that organ donation represents one of the purest forms of service to humanity, where even after death, a person continues to live through the lives they save.

He further stated that Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service Above Self” is deeply reflected in the philosophy of organ donation.

Speaking about the need for a citizen-led movement, Rotarian Lal Goel observed that government efforts, hospitals, NGOs, and media alone cannot solve India’s organ donation crisis unless ordinary citizens become active participants in spreading awareness.

He also quoted renowned anthropologist Margaret Mead:

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Rotarian Lal Goel stated that Organ Donation Warriors aims to create trained volunteers in every city, district, school, college, workplace, and community across India.

He appealed to citizens to openly discuss organ donation with their families, remove fears and misconceptions, and take the organ donation pledge.

He added that the initiative aims to significantly strengthen India’s organ donation movement and ultimately help save thousands of lives.

Concluding his address, Rotarian Lal Goel quoted the immortal lines of poet Robert Frost:

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.”

He said that India’s journey towards creating a strong culture of organ donation has only just begun and that there are still millions of minds to change and countless lives to save.

The movement has invited citizens across India to join the Organ Donation Warriors initiative and become part of this national humanitarian mission.

At the end of the session, Rotarian Lal Goel answered several questions from the attendees.

The programme was presided over by Inspire President Rotarian PHF Ritika Gupta and was successfully conducted by Inspire Secretary Rotarian Ruby Agarwal. It was attended by a large number of members and invitees and was telecast live on YouTube.

Raj Shekhar | Amazing Script Writer | Bangalore | Global TV

Gratitude. Fear. Pride. Pain. Hope. Love. All at once. I only hope this film touches hearts | Rajshekhar

Today is one of the most emotional days of my life. A dream that lived silently in my heart for years has finally comes alive on the screen. My story and screenplay have now become a Bollywood feature film — SEPTEMBER 21. This film was not written from imagination alone. It was born from heartbreak. I have watched people I love slowly disappear into the darkness of Alzheimer’s, memory by memory, day by day. I have seen familiar eyes lose recognition, conversations fade into silence, and families break quietly while trying to stay strong.

But the people who touched my soul the most were the caregivers. The wife who does not sleep through the night. The son pretending to be strong while falling apart inside. The daughter who gives up her own life without complaint. The nurse who becomes a part of the family. The friend who refuses to give up or walk away. These invisible people carry the unbearable emotional weight every single day without recognition, appreciation, or support. They sacrifice sleep, peace, health, careers, relationships, and sometimes even themselves, just to protect the fragile world of someone they love deeply. SEPTEMBER 21 is my tribute to those silent warriors. Every three seconds, someone in the world develops dementia. Behind every patient stands a family fighting a lonely, exhausting, heartbreaking battle that most of the world never sees.
This film belongs to them.

What began as a whisper in my heart transformed into a film because extraordinary people believed in it. I am very grateful to Karen Kshiti Suvarna, the brilliant 22-year-old director who took up this story with rare courage, honesty, and sensitivity, and to the incredible teams at VISICA FILMS, Humara Movie, and the Belgian production house FOX.ON STAGE.BE for helping bring this deeply personal dream to life.
The film has been made in Hindi, English, and Kannada so that its message can travel beyond borders, languages, and cultures. Today, 16 May 2026, SEPTEMBER 21 premieres globally at Cannes. The Pan-India theatrical release is scheduled for 22 May through PVR INOX Cinemas, and the film is now listed on BookMyShow.

I honestly do not know how to describe what I feel today. Gratitude. Fear. Pride. Pain. Hope. Love. All at once. I only hope this film touches hearts. I hope it starts conversations that families are afraid to have or avoid. I hope it makes us look at Alzheimer’s, caregiving, memory, love, and human dignity differently. And when the screen finally fades to white, I hope this story stays with you. If this message touches you even a little, please support the film by sharing it. Help us take this story and its message to as many people as possible. Your support means more to me than words can ever express.

With love and gratitude,
Raj Shekhar

Poppins | Libin Jacob | Passion with Purpose | Making Career and Life More Meaningful | Global TV

A Journey Built on Self Belief | Building a Meaningful Career with Performance and Persistence | Global TV

NV Paulose, Chairman, Global TV +91 98441 82044

Libin Jacob’s story, life and career are shaped not by privilege or conventional pathways, but by persistence, curiosity, and self-belief. At just 27 years old, he stands as a dance choreographer, video editor, and founder who has built his identity through consistent effort rather than formal systems. While he was introduced to dance during childhood, his real transformation came from self-practice and experimentation.

His approach to learning was never limited to classrooms. Instead, he embraced mistakes, repetition, and creative exploration as his teachers. This foundation allowed him to grow into an artist, a performer and a mentor who is both expressive and technically refined, proving that structured learning is the only path towards excellence in life.

The Birth of HOOFIT Dance Company

In 2018, Libin took a decisive step by starting his first dance studio. What began as a small initiative soon evolved into something larger. By 2021, he expanded his vision by establishing a studio in his hometown, giving more people access to a creative space that encourages growth and expression.

HOOFIT Dance Company is a space where passion meets purpose. It invites individuals not only to learn dance but to experience it as a form of connection, confidence, and storytelling. Libin’s goal has always been clear: build dancers who move with purpose, not just precision.

Crafting Viral Impact with Poppins Dancers

One of the most defining moments in Libin’s journey came with the rise of the Poppins Dancers, a Kerala based group that took social media by storm in 2024. Featuring Libin Jacob along with Ananya Raji, Anumol Raji, and Gayathri Mohan, the group became widely recognized for their vibrant costumes and engaging choreography.

Their viral blooper reel, posted on July 29, 2024, crossed over 56 million views on Instagram. What made it stand out was its authenticity. It was not overly polished but real, joyful, and relatable. This unexpected success led to a more refined final version, further cementing their popularity. The name “Poppins” itself came from their colorful costumes, which reminded viewers of the popular candy.

This playful identity, combined with their energetic performances, created a nostalgic and entertaining experience that resonated with audiences across age groups.

A Unique Style That Connects

Libin’s choreography stands out because it is accessible and impactful. His routines are often upbeat, engaging, and designed to connect with everyday audiences rather than just trained dancers.

By filming in public spaces across Kerala, the performances feel grounded and relatable. He understands that dance today is not limited to stage performances. It lives on screens, in short videos, and in moments that capture attention instantly. This awareness has helped him create content that not only entertains but also stays memorable.

More importantly, his work reflects a balance between creativity and clarity. Each movement is intentional, each sequence meaningful, and each performance designed to evoke emotion, whether it is joy, nostalgia, or excitement.

The Art of Storytelling Through Editing

Beyond choreography, Libin has built a strong identity as a video editor. Since 2020, he has been deeply involved in shaping visual narratives that capture attention within seconds. His editing style focuses on rhythm, emotion, and engagement, particularly in the fast-paced world of social media. His editing is about shaping experiences.

A strong hook, a seamless loop, and the ability to hold attention are all essential elements of his work. These principles have allowed him to create content that stands out in a crowded digital landscape. In 2025, his belief that results matter more than tools was validated when he received recognition for edits created entirely on a smartphone. This achievement highlights a key aspect of his mindset: creativity is driven by vision, not equipment.

Growth Beyond Performance

Despite his success, Libin continues to evolve. He actively works on refining his skills, exploring new movement styles, and finding better ways to mentor his students. For him, growth is not optional. It is a continuous process that defines both his career and personal life.

His focus goes beyond producing good dancers. He aims to build confident individuals who can express themselves freely. This emphasis on personal development sets him apart as a mentor who values long term impact over short term recognition.

Passion with Purpose

At the core of Libin Jacob’s journey is a simple but powerful idea: passion becomes meaningful when it serves a purpose. Whether it is through dance, teaching, or editing, his work consistently reflects intention and authenticity. He does not chase trends blindly. Instead, he adapts while staying rooted in his values. It is a rare quality in a fast-changing creative industry. He remains relevant keeping his identity.

Building a Meaningful Career

Libin’s career is a reminder that success is not defined by a single viral moment or achievement. It is built through consistent effort, learning, and the ability to adapt. From starting a small studio to reaching millions online, his journey reflects steady progress rather than overnight success. He has shown that meaningful careers are shaped by understanding one’s strengths, taking risks, and staying committed even when results are uncertain.

Creating Spaces That Inspire

Through HOOFIT Dance Company, Libin has created an environment where creativity thrives and individuals feel encouraged to explore their potential. The team is a family that values collaboration in growth. Dance is an opportunity to create memories. The sense of belonging plays a crucial role in making the learning experience impactful.

A Message to Aspiring Creators

For those looking to follow a similar path, Libin’s journey offers a clear lesson: start where you are and use what you have. Waiting for perfect conditions often leads to inaction. Progress begins with taking the first step, no matter how small. Consistency, experimentation, and the willingness to learn from failure are key elements of growth. These are elements guiding Libin’s journey and continue to shape his success.

The Power of Authenticity

One of the strongest aspects of Libin’s work is authenticity. Whether it is a dance performance or a video edit, there is a sense of honesty that makes his content relatable.

Audiences today are quick to recognize what is real and what is not. By staying genuine, he has built a connection that goes beyond numbers and views. This connection is what sustains long term success.

Looking Ahead

As Libin continues his journey, the focus remains on growth and impact. He is constantly exploring new ideas, refining his craft, and finding ways to reach more people through his work. The future holds opportunities for deeper influence and to create more opportunities for more youngsters and mentors alike. Whether through dance, content creation, or mentorship, his potential to inspire is only increasing.

Staying Connected

For those who connect with his work and wish to collaborate with him, he encourages people to take that first step and reach out, turning ideas into something unforgettable.

One Minute Challenge | Welcome Campuses to Collaborate | Connect Student Teams to Participate | Global TV

From Screen Addiction to Screen Advantage | Easy Challenge | Brilliant Results | Global TV

NV Paulose, Chairman, Global TV +91 98441 82044

Campuses today are filled with bright students who carry powerful tools in their hands every single day. The mobile phone has become a constant companion, but for many it has quietly shifted from a tool of learning to a source of distraction. The real opportunity before educational institutions is not to fight mobile usage, but to transform it into something purposeful, creative, and impactful.

The Reality of Mobile Usage on Campus

Students spend hours scrolling, watching, reacting, and consuming content that often adds little value to their growth. This habit does not develop overnight. It grows slowly, replacing time that could have been invested in skill building, communication, and creative thinking. Campuses must recognize that the issue is not the device itself, but how it is being used.

Turning Consumption into Creation

The same device that distracts can also empower. A mobile phone today is a studio, a classroom, and a stage combined into one. When students shift from passive consumption to active creation, everything changes. Recording videos, sharing ideas, and presenting thoughts builds clarity and confidence. Initiatives like the One Minute Challenge give students a clear direction to use their devices with purpose.

The Power of Facing the Camera

Many students hesitate to face the camera. There is fear of judgment, fear of mistakes, and fear of not being perfect. But growth never comes from comfort. When students start speaking on camera, even for a short sixty seconds, they begin to overcome hesitation. They learn to organize their thoughts, express clearly, and connect with an audience. These are skills that directly influence success in academics, careers, and life.

Building Confidence Through Expression

Confidence is not built by watching others succeed. It is built by taking small steps and showing up consistently. A simple video introduction can become a powerful exercise in self development. Students learn to communicate ideas, present arguments, and share perspectives. Over time, this builds a strong personal presence that stands out in interviews, presentations, and leadership roles.

Campuses as Catalysts for Change

Educational institutions have a critical role to play. By encouraging structured activities that involve mobile usage for learning and creativity, campuses can guide students toward meaningful engagement. Competitions, video challenges, and collaborative projects help students use technology in a focused and productive way. When campuses promote such initiatives, they do not just reduce distraction, they unlock potential.

The message to students is simple and powerful. Do not let your mobile control your time and attention. Take control and use it as a platform to express, create, and grow. Step in front of the camera. Share your ideas with confidence. Start small, but stay consistent.

When students learn to shine on camera, they are not just creating videos. They are building communication skills, confidence, and a mindset that prepares them for success in every field. The future belongs to those who can express clearly and connect effectively. Your journey can begin with just one minute.

Vally Vagga | Younger writers’ elder brother and a unifier | Global TV

Vinchnar Kaaniyo by Vally Vagga Released

A distinguished gathering of writers, poets, and literary enthusiasts witnessed the release of Vinchnar Kaaniyo (Selected Stories), the latest collection by veteran Konkani Writer Vally Vagga, Mysuru (Valerian D’Souza of Nirkan–Vagga, popularly known by his pen name, Vally Vagga). The event was held at the St Aloysius Deemed University’s Sahodaya Auditorium.

Speaking at the function, Melvyn Rodrigues, poet and member of the Executive Council of the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, as well as Convener of the Konkani Advisory Board, praised Vally Vagga’s lifelong contribution to Konkani Language and literature.

“When I began writing in Konkani, Vally Vagga was already active, and even today he continues with remarkable consistency. To us younger writers, he is not only an elder brother but also a unifier — someone who bridges differences among Konkani authors and strengthens relationships. His six decades of dedicated literary service deserve the highest respect.”

Rodrigues further noted that Accuracy, Benevolence and Concise are the ABC of storytelling and these shine through in Vally Vagga’s works.

H. M. Pernal, Sahitya Akademi Award-winning writer, introduced the book. He highlighted that since beginning his literary journey in 1964, Vally Vagga has written extensively in both Konkani and Kannada. Pernal observed that the author’s stories consistently champion marginalized voices and affirm the value of life. He remarked that stories written across three decades — 1966, 1996, and 2026 — stand as testimony to their timeless relevance.

The program began with a welcome address by Mrs. Libera D’Souza, followed by a vote of thanks from the author himself. His son, Loy D’Souza, was present at the occasion. The event was gracefully compered by poet Titus Noronha.

The release of Vinchnar Kaaniyo was celebrated not only as a literary milestone but also as a reaffirmation of Konkani’s enduring spirit and cultural unity.

Global TV Home Editions | Team Up. Warm Up. Start Up | Global TV

Connect | Collaborate | Co-Create | Turn Small Groups into Meaningful Storytelling Circles through Global TV Home Editions

NV Paulose, Chairman, Global TV +91 98441 82044

The world is filled with too much content. This is going on endlessly without any direction or purpose. What we, the people, truly seek is connection. Away from noise and distraction, we need to build real conversations for society building and shared human experiences. Global TV Home Editions introduces a simple idea that brings this need back to the center by encouraging people to come together and start storytelling.

At its heart, the concept is easy to understand and even easier to begin. There is no need for professional studios or expensive equipment. A few people, a comfortable space, and a willingness to share are enough to get started. Global TV Headquarters and Regional Centres will support your Home Edition with professional editing, practical guidance, and direction to help build meaningful media and career opportunities. Young people are encouraged to participate, and elders who are young at heart are warmly welcome to be part of the journey.

The Strength of Small Circles

Meaningful conversations rarely happen in large crowds. They grow in small circles where people feel heard and understood. This model encourages groups of friends, families, or colleagues to come together and create a space where everyone can participate.

These small gatherings become powerful because they are authentic. People speak freely, listen actively, and gradually build confidence in expressing themselves.

From Watching to Creating

Most people are used to watching content rather than creating it. This approach changes that habit by inviting individuals to become contributors and Editors. When people begin to share their own experiences and ideas, they move from passive viewing to active participation.

TWS – Team Warm Start

This shift is important because it gives people a voice. It also helps them discover that their stories, no matter how simple, can have meaning and impact.

A Simple Way to Begin

The process of joining is intentionally straightforward. A group of at least three people comes together with a shared interest in conversation and storytelling. They connect with the Global TV network through a simple message or registration.

Once connected, they begin their first session without delay. The focus is on starting rather than waiting for perfection. This ease of entry makes the idea accessible to anyone who is willing to take the first step.

Homes Become Creative Spaces

A home can be much more than a place to live. It can become a space where ideas are exchanged and stories are created. With just a mobile, mics, and an internet connection, everyday conversations can be captured and shared.

This transformation is powerful because it removes barriers. People no longer need to invest heavily to participate in media creation. Their own space becomes enough. People from abroad can also join the program from their places in the same manner.

Small Contributions. Big Impact.

Every meaningful movement begins with small contributions. A simple act of support, whether through time, effort, or a modest financial contribution, helps build a stronger foundation for positive storytelling. When individuals come together with a shared intention, even the smallest contributions can create a powerful collective impact.

Your support enables Global TV Home Editions to encourage responsible media, amplify real voices, and create opportunities for people to connect and grow. It is not about the size of the contribution, but the spirit behind it. Together, these small steps help bring truth, hope, and meaningful stories to a wider world.

Stories That Connect People

Stories can bring people closer. When individuals share their experiences, they create connections that go beyond location and background. A simple story told in one home can connect with someone far away.

Our focus remains on meaningful and positive storytelling. It is about sharing real experiences that inform, inspire, and genuinely connect people. Meet regularly, and develop a rhythm. Over time, the conversations become richer. There are no fixed themes or restrictions. Groups can explore topics that interest them and have an impact on improving the lives of the people involved and those around.

Strengthen relationships and encourage better communication. Let the people involved begin to understand each other more deeply and build stronger connections. As participation grows, new opportunities emerge. Groups may collaborate with others, engage in community activities, or explore small creative ventures. These possibilities develop naturally over time.

What makes this idea powerful is its simplicity and its ability to spread. Any group in any place can adopt it and start their own journey. One small circle can inspire many others. Global TV Home Editions brings attention to real development. Values authenticity over perfection and participation over performance. Start with a few people. Create something meaningful together. The smallest beginnings lead to the strongest connections.

MANGALURU: Renowned Mangaluru-based Konkani author H.M. Pernal (Henry Mendonca) has been honored with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 for Konkani. The award recognizes his acclaimed work of literary criticism, Konkani Kavyem: Rupam Ani Rupakam, published in 2021.
Konkani, a scheduled language since 1992, was recognized as a literary language by the National Academy of Letters (Sahitya Akademi) in 1975. Since 1977, the Akademi has annually awarded excellence in Konkani literature. Spoken across five Indian states—Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Gujarat—this is the fourth Sahitya Akademi Award for a Mangaluru-based Konkani writer. Previous recipients include C.F.DCosta (1992, poetry), Melvyn Rodrigues (2011, poetry), and Edwin J.F.DSouza (2016, novel).
Pernal’s book marks a historic milestone as the first Konkani work in the genre of literary criticism to receive the award. It previously earned the Best Book Award from the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy in 2021 and from the Goa Konkani Akademi in 2023. The volume features an elaborate foreword by Jnanpith Awardee Damodar Mauzo and was published by Kavita Publications, the publishing arm of Kavita Trust®️, dedicated to promoting Konkani poetry since 2001.

Originally from Pernal in Udupi district, Henry Mendonca began his literary journey in Kannada as a young writer, with poems featured in journals such as Sankramana, Shoodra, and Tainudi. In the early 1980s, he transitioned to Konkani, starting as a cartoonist for Yuvak monthly before establishing himself as a short story writer, poet, and critic.

To date, Pernal has authored four poetry collections—Chalyank Chotrai (1999), Khaidyachyo Kavita (2004), Bamunnachem Cheddum (2006), and Zanel (2025)—two short story collections—Devaak Sodullo Paddo (2002) and Beg ani Bigaath (2016)—and one book of literary criticism, the award-winning Konkani Kavyem: Rupam Ani Rupakam (2021).

His contributions have been widely recognized with numerous accolades, including: Vimala V. With over 850 poems, 100 short stories, and 2,000 articles to his credit, Pernal continues to nurture Konkani literature through innovative platforms. In 2011, he launched the Konkani literary portal kittall.com, which has run uninterrupted, digitally empowering veteran and young writers. In 2013, he founded the monthly ARSO, now in its 12th year. Through Kittall Publications, he has released more than 15 titles and currently heads the Michael D’Souza Vision Konkani Publication Grant, providing up to ₹40,000 per title to emerging authors. The ₹40-lakh initiative is fully sponsored by NRI philanthropist Michael D’Souza.
Pernal also champions young talent annually via the Kittall Youth Award, sponsored by NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Leo Rodrigues, which includes a ₹25,000 cash prize.

A dedicated leader in the Konkani literary community, Pernal served as Working President of the All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan in 2023 and currently holds the position of Treasurer at the All India Konkani Parishad.
