Attitude that make the Lion to be the King over all other in the forest. It is a unique language altogether . An attitude that make all the difference!
We have option to choose our path and the destiny is also our choice in that way. The dreamers has an 18 hour Schedule in a day whereas for an ordinary it is 8 hours schedule. Unique find Thrill being Grilled just like the joy of a Diamond while it is in the making.
By NV Paulose/ Fr. Saleen Joseph
Choice is of each one who has freedom to think and decide. Finding one’s inner person and eliciting the language of mind is the way to discover oneself. One who work whole night for making an impressive presentation and yet go with a free mind to explore opportunities as it appears can win with the potential of flexibility and adaptability. We need to learn a lot to reach up to the Know Nothing State.
Once Bruce Lee learned everything in Martial arts; his master taught him the best technique; to have no technique. Learning has different meaning. We cannot become water tanks and become self reliant and self sufficient. We have to become wells that has connected with abundant source of water.
One who has clarity of thoughts and ability to respond well with right kind of thoughts can achieve their highest dream about themselves. Deriving at the dream should be the purpose of education. Learning should become experiential. Teaching should become participatory.
A teacher who lectures all the time without looking at the expressions of the students is a curse on to the education system. Some teachers lecture what they have parrotised while they were students. Then and even now they do not know what and whereabouts of what they teach. This leads to pretensions and excercises of fear psychosis.
Teacher and students should attain the status of free mind. Freedom and co working approach make the learning process so enthusiastic. Teacher should not indulge in TTT Crime. Teacher Talking Time (TTT) should be limited and students should get time to participate in the learning process. We suppose to make the students to perform what they wanted to become.
One who has greater dreams should learn the language of senses. This is the way to have a conversation with your inner mind. Knowing what is in your mind is very important for working towards it. One who doesn’t know what he or she is aspiring for is a tragic state of mind. Teacher should throw light into the darker areas of student’s mind and help them to find the diamonds that are lying idle over there. It is not darker portion of the mind actually; it is the deeper portion in fact. Again; it is not dark; the eyes are blind instead.
Job of the teacher is to unfold the little layer of whatever little bit of nothings that keep the student’s eyes blind. Opening up the inner eye could be the right phrase for that. Education has to become universal and broader. Instead of breaking the classroom walls; we can take students out for outreach programmes. 30% time for syllabus and class rooms and 70% for exploring inner and outer world.
Dreamers can add another 10 hours a day in the process of making themselves into diamonds. This is possible by allowing themselves to be grilled at real life situations. Getting into the rough sea is the best way. Education should help them do it in safer ways by providing them the support of lifeguards called mentors. Peer mentoring, team working and co-creation are all helpful in different ways.
Stop Mad Rush to Cities! Come back to the Villages!! We can do a lot for the nation!
True life and Real development are possible at Villages. Heart of India is the Rural India. Getting into action is better than remaining in the outskirts of thoughts. Listening to your inner voice is the way for great evolution of mankind. Being kind is better than being anything else.
By NV Paulose / HV Gopalappa
Life of India lies in the villages. Gandhian vision for national development is focused on Rural India. Strengthening Rural India and connecting them with entire India is the way for overall progress. National attention should go more focused on to the true role models. There are plenty of greater happenings in Indian villages. Their contribution may be much more than the overall contribution of certain governmental departments. Some understand this and some others pretend to be unaware of what’s happening all around. Story of Gandibagilu says it very well. A village that take care of about 400 people who were otherwise lost in the streets of India where Gandhiji had walked for India to win freedom from British and from within.
Initial days of Seon Ashram was very tough at the outset but the conviction of the founder and wholehearted support of his entire family made it a joyful intervention. Started about two decades back by making a person from street being a part of their family. Family house that is still kept in the original form had about 64 people to live with. People who lost their mind and all their might. They might be a large burden on to the life of others. Today when seeing them part of a well set establishment give joy for everyone. It could have happened to me was the conviction of Mr. UC Paulose, who is fondly being called Daddy by everyone.
The world around them stood surprised when Daddy and Mummy got themselves immersed into their mission in life. It added Grace on to the face of their children. Today the entire family including grandchildren enjoy seeing happiness in everyone’s face. People rally around them to expand their horizon and to get into the inner mission accomplished.
Caretakers and Dreamers:
While taking care of the one’s who had lost the track of life;the dream is to get into initiatives that make overall development of the village and to place it on top of the developed villages map. Children of the inmates are given with opportunities to come up in life. Seeds of dreams are planted into their hearts and many initiatives are taken up in this line.
Conviction of Sir UC Paulose:
Creating avenues for better life and giving opportunities for overall development is the only thing the people in Rural India look forward for. A segment of population need extra care. This area need dedication and sacrifice. We are in that segment at the first phase. We are not but stopping our efforts at just feeding and taking care of the distressed people. Our effort is to bring the new generation into the top positions so that justice and equal opportunities are given to them as much it is available to others.
We can do a lot in our villages. India should give attention and hearing towards the Villages. This is the India envisaged by Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. We have presented a proposal to Government of India for the overall development of our Village. We have plans for large interventions in involving people at large in development process.

Gandhi should be taken serious more than today’s idea of making him an Icon and Idol to keep aside; says Prof. Varadesh Hiregange. Professor was talking on a topic ‘Post modern Mahatma’ in the pretext of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. The talk was at Nitte Institute for Communication at the outset of Gandhi Jayanti celebration. We have understood Gandhi in a very different way. Today’s world which is called modern has different notion for everything. Three hundred years notion of all these developments in this direction even when named modern is not very modern in fact.
We cannot reach an alternative just by making certain names. Modernism, modernity etc. are taken by people in the way for them to take benefit out of it. Gandhi is sited being an old reality and kept being non practical today. Gandhi is but becoming more and more relevant and contemporary today.
Philosophy of Gandhi is most modern. It has universal values within. For Gandhi, truth is like a diamond. It has multidimension. Gandhi was a practical idealist. One who would like to see idea in practical. The world is transcending every moment. Still there is something constant. Gandhi’s belief system was very practical and derogatory to the complexities of being one with other thought processes. Gandhi never felt his religion alone is true and believed in the possibility of multiple truths.
Religions can coexist and there is no need of conflicts between. Each religion can claim their Comprehensions and at the very same time cannot deny the existence of other existences as well. Each one is complete in different ways.
Progress and development are the terms used for doing anything and everything. What is the notion of Development? Today’s question of Development for whom? Development at whose cost? Do we have an economic model that is sustainable and socially just?
Gandhi had presented the model of sarvodaya advocating meeting of everyone’s need and not anyone’s greed. Development for whom comes in relevance in today’s crisis of climatic changes and disparities in the economic scenario. Earth summits and series of meeting are all pointing to these confusions. Who is committed for the common causes of sustainable development. Gandhian dictum is coming back to the centre stage when the world is forced to discuss about commitments of everyone to achieve the common goals.
Social activities and constructive programs are important than political polarization and creation of conflicts. This is the idea when Gandhi asked congress to be dissolved and to create a social activity forum. Gandhian priority was religious unity and inter religious hat money, removal of untouchability, and a self reliant economy. When these priority is achieved, freedom automatically emerge.
Constructive activities are the need of the hour. About twenty areas were suggested by Gandhi giving scope form adding more. This is the topic that we should debate today. Another topic that we should discuss is about nationalism and antinationalism. Nationalism cannot be sectarianism. It has to be inclusive of everything and everyone. Gandhi was not even against the British in that sense.
The youngsters should study about Gandhi much more. It is time for a social change. We should take Gandhi seriously.
Sarvodaya Vs. Development:
Sarvodaya should replace Development and it can make a paradigm shift in our pursuit for excellence and in reaching development to every citizen of India.
Inclusive Growth for Employment and Economic Progress; CA GS Kamath
By Kiran Kuvalkar
Social growth and employment development has to happen in smaller towns than in metropolitan cities; said Chartered Accountant and Social Reformer GS Kamath. Opportunities are plenty and atmosphere is all set for India to ptogress into the next level. We should make use of the time and surroundings, he said. Yongsters should become enterprising and part of collective initiatives and action plans. Everyone else shoukd provide them support and required training.
CA GS Kamath is all set to Coordinate and Champion the employment opportunities growth machanics of Uthara Kannada District. Fifty years of his service had helped to set up many path-breaking establishments from this region that all had spread their wings to larger operational areas and brand markets. Need of the day is different. There need to be organised branding initiative.
The district should become a place for organic product brands. Large scale farming should happen in collective farming sector. Everyone shiuld join hands and should do their small little contribution. Collectively we should be able to cater to the demands from international locations like London and other European regions. India is at the threshold of large progress and tapping on our real strength is the way ahead. We have lots of land available for cultivation with all resources and required scientific support from governmental agencies. We should use them very well.
It is a very common thing to get job applications in my office. Youngsters both boys and girls come almost every day. They need some job. They are unable to speak out when we ask about their capabilities and specialisations. Literally our youngsters come out from education with no skills and empty hands. This is not the case in advanced nations. Campus life help them to identify their talents and get them skilled in those areas of activities. They also get returns when they undertake project works in the campuses. Identification of talents and Development of skills should be the priority in schools and Colleges. This is the first priority in fact.
Incremental Investment is also a Market Booster! They can activate a system! !
By Tilak Kalyan
Idea of incremental investment is nothing new but seems to be not at the notice of the governments. Even when the capital resources are limited to core, governmental investments go totally new and in bulk. This is one of the reason for excess corruption. Actually, this is a method for corruption since new projects require Fixed capital than working capital. A policy decision of incremental investments instead of total investments can curtail curruption to a large extent. At least half of the budget allocation should go in incremental investments.
What is an incremental investment?
Incremental investment is an additional investment on an existing project. We carefully choose to invest in projects that are progressive or at places where a considerable change can happen with an incremental investment. Investing for an additional classroom in a campus where admission are in excess instead of setting up a new campus for the purpose of addressing the increased demand. Many times with an incremental investment, We can multiply performance of many establishments.
Role of Incremental Investments in India!
We are a human intensive nation and we are at the advantage of demographic dividend now. We need to organize for better engagement for our people. It is possible when we take advantage from the possibilities of incremental investments. Institutions and organizations should come forward with Large options for incremental investments. To sight an example is to tap an additional employment opportunities for about 5 lakh people in Indian Railway Stations. This is possible when we apply ideas and creativity in proper direction. Like a sculptor see a sculpture in a stone or an wooden piece; we should emerge with new ideas and themes for this purpose.
Mini platform for Night Stay in Train:
Every major cities are having major railway stations. There can be a low traffic station few kilometres from the station. Or else there are trains halting at the Major stations. These trains that are at halt can provide night stay facility at lower costs. A seperate establishment can come into existence for this purpose. People can travel from places to places at a lower cost and get into their routine works more often and more frequently. There can be different rates for different classes. High class refreshments and facilities shall also become part of the package. Mini complexes can be built at open lands UN utilised at nearby locations and connectivity can be established with additional tracks.
There are thousands of ideas that can be introduced with our existing set ups. Lot of thoughts has to come into connect the dots and to convert them into plan of actions. Given a theme to a team of youngsters, they will come up with innovative ideas. There are thousands of complementary establishments and activities possible with our existing systems and practices. Let us think about it.
Plenty are such resources all across India! A Corporation in the governmental sector for renovation programs on self financing themes can do wonders.
By Christopher Noronha
India speaks about traditions of sincerity and voluntary services without expecting anything in return. Those things are for theories and in practice we see the other side.
As an effect there are plenty of abandoned projects that are not paying back in accordance with the capital outlay on to such projects. The habit of the system is to continue projects until funding is available and to abandon the project once fund flow ends up.
In every district we can identify a minimum of Rs. 1000 Crores worth such abandoned projects or projects that are not fetching any yield or output in the form of service to the people.
Central government can set up a Corporation for the purpose of renovation of such projects. This can include old offices at key locations that shall can be restructured with crowd funding and made into international centres for Youth and Career development.
Half of Indian population is youth. Organisation like Nehru Yuva Kendras are white elephants. They are also functioning mostly in papers just for the sake of using available funding. An output focused restructuring of their offices can also add value to the total infrastructural wealth of the nation.
World is changing a lot. Establishments are changing faster. Corporate houses are creating a model of a Core office and a large number of work stations. Digitisation has created lot of free space and they are even creating sharing spaces concept in a large scale.
You get entire set up of office, systems and people at a lower cost than you maintain everything on your own. Governmental offices are also able to identify excess space everywhere and that can be added to the exchequer for expansion programs.
Land being the Key resource and government lands are all in key locations is a great advantage of today. Renovation of government offices and sharing excess space for Youth development programs under existing schemes and innovative initiatives can bring in large transformations in Indian society.
Retirement at an early stage:
India could be the only nation among the top nations in the world to seek retirement from officials when they are at the peak of their performance. We also wait for people to attain employment age to employ them as well. What a comedy it is. There is nothing called retirement age or employment age in advanced nations.
We have it for various reasons. Alright. Can’t we encourage people to take up stand alone projects that are career centric under the banner of the offices from they retire at attainment of certain age? Creating a designation for continued services and offering a revenue sharing is good enough for a retiring official to continue with the office for another so many years. Anyway the pension pays a part of the salary to them.
Going with the Time:
We can go with time or go ahead of time. Going behind time has no point. What remains to remember us when we exit from existence is very important. Many people realise that towards their retirements. Such people at least will be sincere to post retirement assignments. Give it a social dimension and a campus connection. We can transform entire India with such an initiative.
Basic idea of a Government is to create a feel that they are doing something great for the people.
By Sanjeev Sharma
Doing or Creating a feel of doing? It depends on the confidence level of the leadership in the process. Showing off has become an order of the day. It doesn’t pay off in the long run. Government is a set up of large number of Officials and another large number of political portfolios. Everyone is operating with available funds from the tax money. Getting more money to spend is the nature of cost centres and creation of wealth is the nature of Revenue Centres.
How many in the governmental systems are revenue centres? Very Few! All others are cost centres. They amass everything that comes on their way. Corruption is mounted to the core everywhere. Suppose there is someone otherwise; they are caught and punished under false corruption charges. This is the order of the day.
Maximum to maximum an upright person can do is to stay away from the net of corruption. That too is not entertained in a vast network of corruption. Yet there is a large number of people in the system who stay bold against the run of the mill kind people. Those upright stay against the flow of flood just by their courage and convictions.
Ultimate satisfaction and feeling good are for those who stay away from wrong doing while attempting to do the impossible in line with their creative thoughts. Greater achievements are all emerged from such few people in the past. These are the breed of people the nation should bank up on.
Dr. Varghese Kurian and Amul was a role model in many senses. He was upright and pure at heart and lived a genuine life throughout. Many great things had happened during his tenure of life and there are lessons to learn from their stories. Learning from the legends is important and right kind of learning is more important.
Development has two sides or segments of focus. One is multiplication of wealth and the other is reduction of the cost. There is another unseen side for the vehicle called development. This is all about how you distribute the net revenue in the process. When everything goes to Reliance no one will have a relying sense to the system. One child bulk up when all others are starving is not a good model.
Wealth Creation and equitable distribution is the fundamental responsibility of a system. Large number of people always wait thinking the promises will be met and they remain waiting. When they realise the waiting is hopeless they may get into the process of efforting and sweating for their growth. People almost are today self reliant and are not depending on the governmental supports. This is not the case in many advanced nations. People expect a lot from their governments.
Looking in nature we can see plenty of examples of exit. In animal families the hunting and distribution is a regular exercise. One hunt and everyone else share from the catch. This system continues until the hunter decides to quit when feeling others are capable of hunting for themselves. So beautiful is the way of exit and eventually the ones who was waiting for eating get themselves into going for hunting.
In human living these stories can be guidelines but the path of human life is far different from that of animal farms.
One in Power think it is permanent! Repent once out from Power!! Make same mistake again when in power! Truly we miss an opportunity to discover our great future! Uncertainties are the certainty in India! !
View Point by Uttam Vishwas
There is an unseen power that govern Indian political changes. Not the powers that play hiding from the public eye. This is a true power that is invisible and it is the same hand that has written the destiny of the universe that governs Indian politics. This is the same in the case of universal governance as well. Unknowingly it is so happens for goodness to emerge ultimately. Intention of the worst is also to do great things. We need to see things in the larger perspective that is unbiased and unconditional.
Performance is the bottom line ultimately. No one can survive otherwise. Performance but come only from perseverance and hard work. That required motivation and it dies at corruption. Most of the corruptions in India are silly and childish. We may deny things that are even captured live in camera or witnessed by large public. For what?
We are governed by the fear factors and we simply fear everything. All that were introduced by the British are still in operation in India. The intelligence that is ugly and shameless to tap others telephone calls and to peep into others discussion rooms. We simply think as if we are powerful and realise otherwise very late in the process. Some people express it and some other operate it in a suttle way. Either of the case do harm all around.
People are disconnected and disrespectful to Indian political systems. Not even a percentage is involved in the political circles. People vote since they think it is their duty. They do not know the system is undemocratic. We do not know since our faculty of thinking is faulty. Thinking was restricted and oppressed by the British government in India and the same is continued by the Indian governments as well. There are various reasons. British thought Indians are fools when they have seen us over tolerant.
They never knew the influence of Karma theory in Indian minds. We still believe in doing good for getting good forgetting what the other people do. Indian people are spiritual more than religious. There is no difficulty for an Indian to get along with another person of another way of life. This is not so in many other countries. We should understand the underlying power in our broad understanding about God and goodness.
Indian people not only believe others are true but alos accept them as they are. We respect people irrespective of the amount of respect that they deserve for. When in power we but go blind. It is the same crisis everywhere irrespective to the levels of power. An attender in a village office think himself very powerful as much a Prime Minister in the country can think about. This is a gimmick of mind. Many get caught into it and later get out of both the thought and the paradigm. What is there to prove our power when we remain ourselves the little living mortals. Where there is guarantee for our existence in the next moment. What next once we exit from our existence. We need to introspect these points deep inside. Then comes the flow of wisdom from within. This is like we replace a water tanker with a deeper well. Everything go well one we lift our hands and minds.
Conflict in purpose of Indian Democracy:
There are plenty of conflicts visible in Indian systems. We violate our constitution openly by having duel standards in everything. Choosing the candidates are centralized while we say the people are selecting their leaders. There is no internal democracy in any parties. Every party is power driven and when power become weak the otherone overpowers. We then see the power thrown out in the dustbins in social corridors.
Election symbols are undemocratic:
Symbols are introduced for the benefit of illiterate voter but it is used for political branding. Same like the olden system of voter only from landlords. This is the difference between democratic and Politic. Why should we miss what we are enjoying now is the mindset of everyone. We do not know the child of injustice can only be miserable.
Democracy to be democratic should remain in the principles of equality and justice. In a hundred metres race, one cannot be kept fifty meter ahead from others who are at the starting point. There is a method to calculate brand value. This is commercial and system based. We shouldn’t enjoy what we do not deverve. Many political brands disappeared in the past and had fallen deep into the gutters when they were at everest peak.
People at large are democratic:
People are not politic. They are democratic. They take success with humility and accept failure with their head bowed down. People from top to bottom are individually good. Our collective wisdom is negative but. This is because of our lost faith in democracy. The one in power ever enjoyed the power like a drug addict or a drunkard. Not only politicians. Officers, Judges and the pimps in every power corridors. All had found themselves ended up in gutters of conflicts and failures. What a tragedy to repeat repeatedly for several decades now. There can be an end to it to help us to discover the universal plan of abundance for all of us and to help the world to come out of a still deeper crisis.
India is at the best of her times:
India is at her best today. A shift from the theory of scarcity to the theory of abundance make everything wonderful. We should change the patterns of our operations. Move from capital centric to people centric. Tell the truth and it can strengthen us many fold.
